Seeking Advice on Lighting Issues and Light Switch Malfunction in 2000 Kia Pride

Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my 2000 Kia Pride, a gasoline model with around 58,482 KM on the clock. Lately, I've been experiencing some lighting issues; the lights out of nowhere turn on and the light switch isn't working as it should. The last mechanic visit was quite disastrous, so I'm eager to avoid another unpleasant experience. Anyone who has been in a similar situation, how did you handle this problem? Hey! I'm thrilled my experience could chuck in some insights for ya! So, here's the deal - The mechanic billed me around 222.50 €. Bit salty for a faulty plug connection, but trust me, every cent was worth it for that peace of mind, know what I mean? And yep, since sorting that mess out, I haven't experienced any other lighting issues - it was all sorted when the mechanic fixed the dodgy connection.
