ABS/DSC system is not working

Hey, need your expertise on my 2020 Lexus NX Hybrid. I've got a pretty unusual issue going on. My ABS/DSC stopped working all of a sudden, the airbag warning pops up, and the system's storing faults. I've got a hunch it might be to do with my steering angle sensor messing up- has anyone else had the same issue? Would be great to hear if you experienced the same problem, especially how you went about fixing it in the garage. Cheers for any insights you can share!

Hey! I gotta say, your predicament sounds proper familiar. Had a similar issue with my 2018 Lexus RX a while back. I’d class myself as someone with low car experience but learned a thing or two from the experience. When my airbag warning lit up and got faults stored, it turned out to be a defective cable connection to the sensor. My local workshop bloke sorted it out with no fuss. It cost me €155, which was a bit of a bummer, but at least it got fixed. But one model to another can be a world of difference. Do you happen to know any specific info about your vehicle model - something like system type, recent repairs, or other relevant specifics? This could help me in giving you some more detailed help based on my past experience. Hope this helps!

Hey there, Thanks for sharing your experience with the RX. That gives me a bit of insight into what I might be looking at here. I haven't had any recent repairs on my NX, but my Hybrid system's mileage is just over 167344 KM now. Had the last service done just a month ago so all seemed to be in ship-shape at that point. No clue what could've cropped up suddenly to send my sensors haywire. I reckon I'll be paying a visit to my local Lexus garage sooner rather than later thanks to your advice. At least now I have some idea of what I might be in for if it really is a sensor issue. Cheers.

G'day again, Sounds like you're on top of things! My RX was about the same mileage when the sensor played up funny, so it might be a mileage-related thing, who knows? Seems like everything was tickety-boo at your last service which can make things a bit frustrating when there's trouble soon after. I remember feeling proper annoyed when my sensor issue popped up right after the service. Visiting your Lexus garage is a wise move. Hopefully, they can sort it out quickly and it won't cost an arm and a leg. In the end, every car is a world of its own, but it's always great to share info. If it does end up being a sensor issue like mine, I hope they fix it without too much hassle and you can get back on the road ASAP. Keep us posted and good luck!

Hey tell me about it! These sudden glitches after a full service are a real kick in the teeth. But I'm hoping my garage will sort things out smoothly like yours did without leaving my pockets empty. Your pointers have been a massive help. I'm heading over to the garage in the next couple of days so I'll update you guys with all the details once the verdict's out. Thanks again for your help! Catch you around.

Hello: I have had an accident with my 2019 Lexus NX hybrid, it was not serious, but the lane sensor did not work and the airbag after a frontolateral collision with the guardrail did not jump. Revisions up to date and everything ok, no warnings either. I don't know how the car went out of control, I was driving slowly and with the aids on, it was raining but not going fast (100-120km/h). What is strange to me Is that the lane change warning didn't sound and the airbags didn't go off. I don't know if I should denounce Lexus, if it will be worth it or not, but my car failed and I'm on medical leave (thank God I'm here to tell the tale, I hit the guardrail and the car turned in the opposite direction and in the left lane of the highway). Thank you for your reply
