Hey there that definitely rings a bell! Your experience with your Magentis is giving me some serious déjà vu with my Opirus. So, it turned out to be an injector issue, huh? That's sort of a relief, but still, it seems like a rather gnarly problem. Curious though, do you remember roughly what the damage was cost-wise when you had to repair the fuel injector? And since the repair, any other gremlins pop up? Like you said, my car not wanting to start has got me thinking there might be another beast lurking in the shadows. Guess I'll just have to find a reliable mechanic to exorcise those car demons, eh? Thanks a bunch for your answer, it's really lightened my load a bit!
Heya, Ah yes, those car gremlins can be a real piece of work! After my little ordeal with the "internally defective injector", was finally sorted out, it cost me about 515.00 €. Trust me, I was not thrilled to part with that money, but hey, at least the plume of black smoke is a thing of the past! Since the fix, my old Magentis has been surprisingly well behaved. The beast lurking in the shadows, as you put it, hasn't raised its head... yet. That's not to say yours has the same evil spirits, though. I'm a big believer in preventive maintenance - it might be worthwhile having your mechanic give your Opirus a once-over to nip any other potential issues in the bud. You’re welcome! Crossing my fingers your Opirus troubles get sorted without too much drama. Keep us updated.
Hey there, Thanks for the heads-up on the potential cost! 515€ is a hefty sum, but hey, if it keeps the car from spewing smoke and refusing to start, it's a worthy investment. Your Magentis being well-behaved after the fix does bring in a ray of hope though! Agreed on the preventive maintenance part. I think a comprehensive check-up is in order to hunt down and tackle any other lingering issues. Your perspective definitely reassures me. Now, it's time to find a decent mechanic and hope for the best. Really appreciate your advice and well wishes. Will surely keep the updates coming. Cheers!

Kia Opirus3500 2004 unstable relantí stalls codes p0172 and po74. Mechanic did not know anything the car stalls and goes to tirines to park back mark stalls 100 times I do not know what it is .... someone knows thanks
The codes you mentioned, P0172 and P074, indicate a system too rich (Bank 1) and a transmission issue respectively. The rich condition could be due to a faulty fuel pressure regulator, a leaky fuel injector, or a faulty oxygen sensor. The transmission issue could be due to a faulty shift solenoid, a bad transmission control module, or low transmission fluid. I would recommend starting with the easiest checks first: inspect the spark plugs and wires, check the fuel pressure, and check the transmission fluid level and condition. If these checks don't reveal the problem, you may need to have a mechanic inspect the fuel injectors, oxygen sensors, and transmission control module. Please update us on your progress.
Hey! Funny you should mention this, I had an eerily similar experience with my 2002 KIA Magentis. Black smoke, jerking, stalling - the whole shebang, minus the no-start issue, though. Your hunch about the injectors could be spot-on. That's what was messed up in my case. Mine turned out to be an "Injector internally defective" issue, as per the official diagnostic. The mechanic had to repair the fuel injector. Yeah, it wasn't a stroll in the park, I'd categorize it as a serious issue but not like a catastrophe or anything. Like I said, my car didn’t refuse to start altogether which makes me think that there might be something else contributing to your issue on top of the injector problem. A decent mechanic shouldn't have a hard time pinpointing it, so don't sweat it too much. Make sure they check everything thoroughly. Hope this helps and that your Opirus gets back on the road without much fuss!
