Alarm system malfunctions

Hey there your story sounds just like mine! I'm glad it wasn't anything major for you. It's got me hoping for a similar outcome on my end. Do you happen to recall how much that battery swap and electrical system check cost you? Also, has anything else popped up related to this since you got it fixed? Thanks for sharing and stay safe out there!
Hey! Sure thing, I can fill you in on the costs. Replacing the battery and having that electrical system check set me back 330 Euro. A bit pricey, but it sorted the problem and the peace of mind was definitely worth it. Since then, it's been smooth sailing, especially for the anti-theft alarm system. That once faulty additional battery hasn't given me any more grief after the mechanic had a go at it. Things have been pretty copacetic, even alarm-wise! Hope that helps and fingers crossed you sort yours out soon too! Stay safe on the roads, bud!
Hey! Thanks a lot for the info! Sounds like you got it all sorted out nicely. I'm hoping my trip to a new mechanic will put this all behind me too. Your price point doesn't sounds too bad for a full check and solution. I feel reassured that it's probably just the battery needing a change and not a bigger issue. I'll head to the garage tomorrow and see how it pans out. Will likely be a bit of a weight off my shoulders to get that alarm back to normal! Appreciate you sharing your experience, it's been very helpful. Stay well and safe on the roads! Cheers!
Hey there, I had a similar issue with my 2019 Kia Sorento just a few months ago. Noticed funky things happening with my alarm system too. Turns out that my battery was about to call it quits due to its age, even though it hadn't clocked significant miles. My mechanic informed me that, like any other part, batteries can fade because of time too. He replaced it and did a full electrical system check just to be double-sure. All the weird symptoms disappeared after that. It wasn't a major issue honestly, just a sheer consequence of the aging process. A good diagnostic and a battery replacement should do the trick for your Mohave too. Let us know how it goes. Stay safe!
