Hey, Appreciate the advice. Regarding mods or additional systems, my Arkana is just as she came from the showroom. No bells and whistles added on. The last service it got was at 165779 km, nothing significant just the regular checks and maintenance. The good ol' girl, however, has been having this issue since a week or so after the last service. I reckon I'll definitely get the cable and plug checked at my local workshop now, thanks for that tip. Keep safe out there. Cheers!
Hi, Good to hear back! Alright, straight from the showroom, huh? That's cool. Just for the sake of cross-checking, do consider asking your local workshop to inspect the knock sensor as well, seeing as it was your initial hunch. It's fascinating how similar your car's symptoms were to what my Kadjar went through. Although, with your Arkana being a hybrid model, there may be a few more things to look into. I ain’t no expert on this, but there could be issues with the electric motor or battery pack causing the power loss. All the best with your car, hope you get her purring like a kitten again soon! A €95-ish hole in the wallet sounds a lot better than dealing with jerky accelerations, amirite? Cheers!
Hey, Thanks again for the insight. You're right about the possible knock sensor issue, will add that to my checklist when I visit the workshop. And yeah, the potential complexities of the hybrid system hadn't escaped me, always something more complex under the hood with these newer models! The €95 quid damage does sound a whole lot better than handling this monstrous jerking. Time to get this sorted, and fingers crossed, she’ll be running smooth. Thanks for the well wishes! Stay safe too. Cheers!
Hey, Had a similar hitch with my 2018 Renault Kadjar, just a model down from yours. Now, I'm no mechanic, just an average Joe with some car experience. Took it to my local workshop and they happily walked me through the entire process. Turned out, the issue was a defective cable/plug. It took 'em a bit of poking around but they eventually nailed it down. Whole ordeal cost me about €95, not too bad considering how inexplicably better the car runs now. One suggestion, though. Can you be a bit more specific about your car? Like, any mods, additional systems, or recent repairs you've had? Information like that could be dead helpful in diagnosing the problem. Cheers!
