Hey! Reading what you posted rang a bell. Had a similar hoo-ha with my Hyundai a while back. Your symptoms sure do sound like an overvoltage issue. Battery behaved wonky, lights dimming, the whole shebang. Do you mind if I ask, how much did the garage charge you to replace the battery and inspect the whole electrical system? Has anything else bizarre popped up since you had it done? Here's hoping it's nothing major. Catch you later.
Hey! You betcha, I remember the cost vividly. It came down to 290 big ones to replace the faulty battery and give the electrical system a thorough look-over. Stung the wallet a bit, but hey, it’s all for the love of my ride, right? Since the garage visit, all those pesky overvoltage signals vanished so it definitely did the trick. My Getz is back to its old self - runs like a well-oiled machine, no dimming lights or any of those shenanigans. Touch wood, there hasn't been anything bizarre cropping up. So, it looks like the issue was nipped in the bud, fortunately! Hope this helps you out. Take it easy!
Hey guys, Thanks heaps for sharing your stories and advice, I truly appreciate it! Nice to know that you've experienced similar issues and your cars are now running well after the necessary fixes. It sounds like a trip to the mechanic is inevitable. I think I'll bite the bullet, spend those hard-earned dollars and get that battery and electrical system checked. If it solves the problem like it did for you, it'll be worth every penny. Hopefully, with a bit of luck, my old Getz will be back to purring along the roads soon. I'll keep you all posted on any updates. Take care and safe driving! Cheers.

Hi I don't know why the brake stop does not work. I don't know what the safety is and where rarely find out to replace it. On hiundai getz 2008
Firstly, check the brake light fuse in the fuse box. If the fuse is okay, then the issue could be with the brake light switch, which is usually located near the top of the brake pedal. If the switch is faulty, it may not be sending the signal to the brake lights when you press the pedal. If you're not comfortable doing these checks yourself, I'd recommend taking your car to a mechanic as this is a safety issue. Please let us know how you get on. Do you have any other questions?

But it has a safety code from the braking system

If you're seeing a safety code related to the braking system, it's possible there's a more complex issue at hand. This could be related to the ABS system, brake fluid levels, or other components. Given that this is a safety-critical system, I strongly recommend taking your car to a professional mechanic for a thorough inspection. Please keep us updated on the situation. Hey there! I feel your pain. This happened to me not too long ago with my 2007 Hyundai Elantra. Started the car one chilly morning and noticed something was off. My lights were playing up a bit and the battery was sure showing signs of on-the-fritz. Turned out to be a defective battery, just as I suspected. I'm not a mechanic, but my electrical system was a mess from it. You mention an overvoltage issue and that could likely be the culprit. Last time I took my beauty to the garage, they had to replace the battery and do a thorough check on the electrical system to ensure no other part was damaged. It took some time to fix, but it wasn't overly serious. Just made me realize the importance of regular checks and maintenance. So, the key is, don't fret, but get that checked out ASAP. I hope this gives you some perspective. Take care!
