Insufficient Cooling/Heating

Howdy, cheers for sharing your experience! I've got a similar issue with my Hyundai Santa Fe, and your story is giving me some hints on where to start. Reckon replacing the parts of the auxiliary heater might be my next step too. Just out of curiosity, can you recall how much they charged for replacing those components and mending the heater at your garage? Also, have you faced any other related problems since that fix? Let's keep these rides rolling, eh? Thanks a ton!
Hey there, glad you found my previous experience helpful! When I took my Hyundai Tucson to the garage, they ended up replacing parts of the electric auxiliary heater which set me back about 350 €. Not exactly loose change, but considering the comfort it brings back, definitely worth it for me. And boy, let me tell you, ever since I got it sorted, it's been smooth sailing. The fix did a number on the heating and cooling problems and they haven't shown their ugly mug since. Goes to show, putting your ride in the right hands can really pay off! No worries and happy motoring! Keep that Santa Fe rolling!
Wow, thanks for the detailed response! Good to hear you've had no issues since replacing those components. The cost does sting a bit, but like you said, it brings back the comfort. Your sharing has eased my anxiety a bit. I'll try my luck with a similar fix and get the auxiliary heater checked. Fingers crossed, my trusty old Santa Fe will come out of it running smoothly, just like your Tucson. I truly appreciate your advice! I'll be sure to update on how it goes. Cheers for your help, happy cruising with your Tucson!
Hey! I get where you're coming from. Not fun when you're in the same boat. I got a 2003 Hyundai Tucson, not too dissimilar from your Santa Fe. Had a similar problem with its heating system, wasn't blowing enough heat. After scratching my head for a bit, I figured it might be an issue with either the climate control system or, like in your case, the electric auxiliary heater. Took it down to the local garage. After they checked it for a solid day, turns out it was the auxiliary heater alright. The guys down there had to take it apart and replace a few components, said they were worn out over time or something. Mind you, this wasn't a simple job and it did take them a while to fix, but once they were done the heating was back up running like a beauty. Hope this gives you a bit of a clue on what you might be dealing with. It's a bit of a task but hey, that's keeping an older car running for ya! Best of luck!
