Seeking Advice on Frozen Spray Nozzles in 2013 Mazda Biante and Recommendations for Trustworthy Mechanics

Spray nozzles frozen

Hey everyone, I'm having a bit of trouble with my 2013 Mazda Biante, gasoline engine, clocked about 187,262 KM so far. Ran into an issue lately, my spray nozzles seem to be frozen solid, probably a faulty heater in there. Anyone had this issue before and how did you handle it? Also, how was your experience with the mechanic handling this? My last mechanic visit wasn't exactly smooth sailing, so looking out for some recommendations. Cheers!

Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2010 Mazda Axela not too long ago. The main issue turned out to be a 'Cable Connection Defective' warning on the dashboard. Mechanic pinpointed to a faulty transmission control module. He replaced the faulty cable connection, cleaned up the area pretty well and made sure everything else was connected right. It wasn't a super serious problem, just a bit tricky to diagnose because it mimicked other symptoms. It was a detailed sort of affair, but the mechanic was top-notch, handled it all smoothly. If your probs are anything similar, you should be in the clear soon. Good luck!

Hey there! Thanks for sharing your experience, appreciated! It's relieving that it wasn't a super serious problem in your case. So, just out of curiosity, do you remember how much that set you back? Also, after the repair, did you encounter any other issues related to this? Keep fingers crossed that mine will not be a big deal either. Cheers!

Hey! You're right, it's always a relief when car issues are not as serious as they initially seem! As for the cost, fixing that pesky 'Cable Connection Defective' issue did cost me a bit, around 95.00 € to be exact. But that was it, no other hidden charges. The mechanic was pretty upfront about everything. And yes, since the repair? No problems at all! The defect in the spray nozzle heater was sorted out and she's been running smooth ever since. So, hold onto that optimism, fingers crossed your Mazda Biante's issue will be a minor nuisance too! Keep us posted! Cheers!

Wow, awesome! That’s a quite reasonable cost and I'm glad to hear that you had no trouble after repair. If it turns out to be similar with mine, then hopefully I won't have to deal with repeated troubles. Thanks a million times for your detailed response - this was really useful! Let me hit up the mechanic and get this sorted, will definitely keep you posted about how it goes. Wish me luck and let's hope for the best! Cheers!
