Hey there! What a relief to hear you got your Lexus GS sorted out pretty swiftly. Going under the hood to fix cable connections definitely sounds complicated, but nothing beats dodging a potential safety problem. Do you remember roughly how much the whole work set you back? And everything's been smooth sailing since, no other related issues popping up? Cheers for the insights!

Hey! So, fixing the cable connection cost me 155€, not too harsh, thankfully. Since then, I haven't faced any more problems. The mechanic did a solid job - my spray nozzle heater was malfunctioning too, just like yours, but got that fixed up during the same visit. So, since getting the car out of the garage, it's all been smooth driving! No more icy surprises, the nozzles are working perfectly now. Do get your Lexus checked out as soon as you can. It's a relief once everything's sorted, trust me. No safer feeling than knowing your car's in top nick. Cheers!

Hey! Thank you so much for the detailed response. 155€ really isn't too bad for a thorough repair job. It's heartening to know that you've had no further issues since your mechanic fixed both the cable connection and the heater too. I'll definitely get mine checked out soon, can't wait to have my baby running exactly as it should. Thanks a thousand heaps for your advice and reassurances, truly appreciate it! Talk about a lifeline, cheers!

Hey! I feel you, had a similar problem with my 2006 Lexus GS Hybrid. Turned out the cable connection was defective. Scary stuff, I was apprehensive at the get-go but luckily, it wasn't as big an issue as I thought. The mechanic at my usual garage spotted it during a routine check. It was mainly about getting into the hood, locating the cable connections, and fixing the busted ones. Real detailed work but nothing nightmarish. I was back on the road in a jiff! I'd recommend getting it checked out ASAP, don't want any safety hazards cropping about. Cheers, and fingers crossed for an easy fix for you!
