Hi there, it's nice to know that I'm not alone in this. Cheers for the hint regarding the cable thing - I might share that with my mechanic. As for my ride's deets, she's run a decent 94168 KM so far, and her last service was just a month ago. Got no significant issues until this cruise control glitch popped up. Hoping it's nothing serious. Thanks for giving a heads up!
Hello again! Judging from the details, your Tarraco has seen quite a bit of road and that tends to come with its fair share of hitches. Considering the mileage and recent service, there are a couple of things that I'd look into. One, that recent service. It's always possible that something got accidentally disturbed. Maybe it's simply a loose connection somewhere? Secondly, sensor failure. Sensors do fail, and often it's with no obvious cause. It just happens, unfortunately. In my case, it was the cable, but as I've learnt, it could be a myriad of reasons. In the end, it's best handled by the pros. Mention these thoughts to your mechanic; they should be able to check them in addition to the usual diagnostic steps. Fingers crossed it's a simple fix for you! Cheers!
Hello, cheers for such a detailed response once again! I'll definitely consider all your points and make sure to bring them up with my mechanic on my next visit. If it's a loose connection or sensor failure, let's just hope it's nothing too extravagant. Last thing I want is another headache during these times, right? You're on the nose - with that kind of mileage, she's bound to have a problem or two. Just wish it wasn't the cruise control. Thanks again for your inputs and fingers crossed, I'll soon have my Tarraco purring like a kitten on the highway again! You have a good one!
Hey, ran into a similar situation with my 2016 Seat Alhambra a while back. Now, I'm no mechanic but I have dabbled in car repairs -just a little, though. My mechanic found a faulty cable connection to the sensor, same as your issue, I reckon. A quick replacement and a bill of 155 Euro later, my old girl was running smoothly. I'd strongly advise you to take it to a professional just to be sure. By the way, can you provide more details about your car, like mileage and service history? That could help give a more precise suggestion. Cheers!
