Hey there, thanks for the prompt response and for sharing your insights. No warning lights appearing on the dashboard currently. The issue seems to persist irrespective of the outside temperature. Although, now that you mention it, it does feel slightly worse after a longer drive. Also worth noting, my MPV’s last service was at 215606 KM, so it's been a while since any kind of workshop visit. I'll take your advice and see what my mechanic says about this sensor business. Hoping for an affordable fix like yours, cross fingers! Cheers for the assistance appreciate it!
Hey again! Yeah, it does sound quite similar to the issue I had with my Mazda. The lack of warning lights is a bit odd though, they usually pop up if there's some sensor issue. But I guess every car can behave a bit differently. Given that you've noticed it gets worse after longer drives, it could be something related to the blower motor or maybe even the blower motor resistor. They tend to act up with heat, which would explain why the issue escalates after a longer drive. Best to have those checked out too while you're at the mechanic. And don't worry too much. Even if those parts need to be replaced, it shouldn't cost a fortune. Just ask your mechanic to keep you posted before making any big repairs, that way you won't get any unexpected bills. Do keep me updated on how things go, always curious to learn from other's experiences. Here's hoping for a quick, easy, and affordable fix! Stay optimistic!
Hey, so good to hear back! Really appreciate your advice and support. You've been much help. The blower motor resistor suggestion definitely makes sense and seems to be in line with my situation. I hadn't thought about that before. Thanks for pointing that out. Definitely, I'll ensure that I keep tabs on the work and costs while at the garage to avoid surprise expenses. Will be sure to keep you posted on the developments. Really optimistic now, hoping the fix will be as swift, minor and inexpensive as you've helped me envision! Fantastic stuff. Cheers once again!
Hey! I experienced a similar issue with my 2007 Mazda CX-9 not too long ago. I'm no mechanic but I've got some experience tinkering around with my car. Took my car to a local workshop where they tracked down the problem to a defective sensor. Cost me about 90 Euro to get it fixed up and hasn't given me trouble since. It sounds like your issue might be similar. Maybe check it out with your mechanic? To get a better idea though, could you let me know if any warning lights are coming on, what the outside temperature is when you notice this issue, and if it happens more often after you've driven for a while? Looking forward to hearing back from you.
