Hey! Really appreciate your reply! Reading about your experience feels quite relieving, hoping my case could be as simple as yours. To answer your questions, my Hyundai Eon is a manual gearbox. And the issue seems to occur irrespective of the car being cold or warmed up - you know, it's acting up like a naughty kid, whenever it wants. I should tell you, the last time I serviced my car was when it clocked up around 26631 KM. Never had a major issue before this one, but looks like it's time for a little extra TLC. I'll take it to my local garage this week and get the error codes checked. Fingers crossed it's just a minor glitch. Thanks a bunch again! Cheers!
Hey there, No worries at all, always happy to share my two cents! Based on what you've just described - the erratic behavior and the fact it happens no matter if your car is cold or warmed up, I'd say you're on the right track with getting those error codes checked. Also, the fact that your car is a manual shouldn't matter too much in this situation. Since you haven't serviced your car for a while, it might be a good idea to go for a comprehensive check while you're at it. Filters, plugs, hoses - the works. Who knows, it could turn out to be a minor issue and you might end up with a smooth-running Hyundai Eon again in no time! Best of luck at the garage and do keep us updated. I hope for the best and that it doesn't cost you too much. Let's hope for a simple fix, eh? Cheers!
Hey! Thanks for being so helpful! And yes, you got me there - it has been a while since I got my car serviced. I'd make sure to get every nook and cranny of my ride checked at the garage. If it turns out to be a minor issue, it will definitely be a huge relief! But if not, at least that's one less worry on my plate. I'll keep you posted about how it goes. Hope it doesn't burn a hole in my pocket though, eh? Wish me luck and thanks again for the advice! Cheers!
Hey! Boy, does your issue bring back memories! I had something pretty similar on my 2017 Hyundai i20 - petrol, just a couple of years back. Let's just say my car-expertise level would hover around the "some experience" mark - I'm no professional, but I know a thing or two. Turned out I was getting an error entry right after I had changed my fuel filter. I hauled my Hyundai to my trusty local shop, and the mechanic insisted it was a rather common glitch. I just needed to reset the error codes and my car would be back to its former glory. Otherwise, the fuel injection pressure could indeed be affected, as you've mentioned. True to their word, they did exactly that and it set me back only around 45 Euro, no more jerkiness or stalling, and my check engine light stayed off since then. It might be something similar for you? Of course, I could give you a more detailed insight if you could share a few more specifics about your vehicle - is it a manual or automatic? Have you noticed this happening more when the car's cold or warmed up? Cheers!
