Hey there, Thanks a ton for sharing, your experience seems pretty identical to what I'm going through with my Ceed! Your explanation about grime and dirt on the AUC sensor makes a lot of sense. So, you mentioned the blower started working fine after the sensor swap. Would you happen to remember roughly how much you had to shell out for the repair job? And have you noticed any other related issues cropping up since then? Cheers in advance.
Hey again, After my mechanic did his magic, the AUC sensor problem was completely sorted. It cost me around 90.00 € to replace that faulty sensor, which seemed the heart of the problem. Honestly, it wasn't an arm and a leg compared to having a whole system breakdown. Since then, no new gremlins have cropped up related to that error. The blower's been running smoothly, pumping out heat and cool when I need it to. A worthy expense in the long haul, if you ask me. Hope that helps you out! Stay safe on the roads.
Hi! That's some good news! I had in my mind that it's going to rip my wallet apart but hey, 90 Euro sounds quite fair to me, especially concerning my struggle with the blower lately. It's a relief to hear no other related issues crept up for you too. Thanks heaps for the info. Really appreciate you sharing your perspective on it. I'll ring my mechanic first thing in the morning and discuss it. Definitely time to get that AUC sensor looked at. Stay safe too and happy driving! Cheers.
Hey! I had a somewhat similar issue with my 2015 Kia Optima. The problem was definitely with the AUC sensor itself, actually. Was a pain for sure, but not something major that would jeopardize the car's overall functioning. Last time I was at the garage, found out that the sensor simply malfunctioned over time due to regular wear and tear, much like your case. Grime, dirt, and other pollutants can often choke the sensor, causing it to give out false readings or stop working altogether. All that needed to be done was a simple sensor replacement job. After the swap was done, the blower started working just fine again, the heating and cooling were top-notch. Hope this helps!
