Hey, thanks for sharing your experience. The last service I got was at 32607 KM. Since that time, I haven't done anything special except for regular oil changes. Don't have any engine codes to share right now, didn't think to check them when I started having this problem. But I'll get those asap and share here with you guys. Hoping it's just a minor problem and not something majorly wrong with my poor Dokker. Thanks again, dude!
No worries, dude! Always good to help a fellow Dacia driver. Waiting for those engine codes then, they should give us a better idea of what's up with your Dokker. In the meantime, bear in mind that regular oil changes alone might not always cut it, especially as cars age. Keep an eye on those other essential fluids too - like transmission and brake fluid. You know, the whole nine yards! Anyway, until then, there's a couple of things you could check by yourself. Firstly, if it's the idle control cable/plug, you might notice a rough or inconsistent idle when starting up cold, or maybe even a high idle speed that drops down really slowly. Secondly, try to notice if the black smoke from your exhaust smells sort-of sweet. That could be a sign of a coolant leak. Hopefully it's just a cable/plug ordeal like mine, but keep up to date with the thread and let's figure this out together. Good luck!
Hey, appreciate the support and advice! Yeah, I've noticed the idle speed is pretty darn high at the start, then gradually lowers after a while. Doesn't smell sweet though, more like burnt gas or something? Anyway, I'll be more diligent about the other fluids. Honestly, I've been slacking on that front. Will check the engine codes and get back to you soonest. It's fantastic to know there's a community ready to help us novices out. Cheers!
Hey there! Not an expert by any means -- I'd say I've got a bit of experience, kinda on the low side of the spectrum. However, had a very similar issue with my 2012 Dacia Logan, LPG too. Things felt off just like you are describing, and let me tell you, it was no fun to drive. Popped into my local garage, chucked it to these blokes who ran some checks. Turned out the trouble was with a defective cable/plug on the idle control valve. The repair ran me 155 Euro, but my Logan's been running smoothly ever since. Information about your car, like maintenance history and any recent repairs, will definitely help in narrowing down the issue. Check the engine codes as well and share these infos. Hope this helps and you get your Dokker back in shape soon!
