Seeking Advice on Electrical Malfunctions and Parking Aid Issues in 2021 Dacia Sandero

General electric malfunction

Park distance control without function

Fault stored

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Hey everyone, I'm currently facing some issues with my 2021 Dacia Sandero, running a Gasoline engine and clocked about 43,652 KM. It's been throwing up issues like malfunction in general electric, park distance control going haywire, and even storing faults. And yes, a warning light's been gleaming from the speedometer. The problem seems to be revolving around the parking aid, or that's what I think. Last time I got it checked, the experience was far from perfect. So, I wanted to know if anyone here had something similar showing up on their ride. How did you deal with it? More importantly, how was your visit to the mechanic? Cheers!

Hey! Sounds like we're in the same boat. I had a similar problem with my 2018 Dacia Logan MCV not too long ago. Started getting these funny beeps and then the damn 'parking aid sensor defective' warning light started flashing on the dash. I reckon it wasn't a fun task diagnosing it with the unusualness of the malfunctions. It's like the car had a mind of its own. Frustrating, I know, but turned out it was indeed the parking aid sensor acting up! In my case, I decided it's better to be safe than sorry, so took her to the garage. The mechanic had to run a diagnostic first, then went on to replace the faulty parking sensor. Not a huge deal all in all, but annoying nonetheless. From my experience, it wasn't some major life-threatening issue but it surely did affect the regular driving experience and the peace of mind. Getting it sorted out asap is what I'd recommend. Hope this helped and best of luck with yours! Cheers!

Hey there, Thanks for shedding some light on this. Sounds like you've been through the ringer with your Logan! Your experience does make me feel a bit better about the whole situation - guess the old girl just needs a little TLC at the garage. Before I take my Sandero down, do you mind sharing how much you ended up shelling out for the diagnostics and sensor replacement? And apart from the faulty parking sensor, did anything else crop up when your mechanic was going through the check? Much appreciated! Cheers!

Hey! Glad I could help put your mind at ease! These things can be a right pain in the exhaust sometimes, if you catch my drift. For my Logan, the whole shebang of diagnosing and replacing the parking aid sensor cost me around 265€. It was definitely worth it though - no more irritating beeps and unusual warnings since then! Apart from that, everything else seemed to check out alright during the mechanics' once-over. No other gremlins hiding in the gearbox or anything, which was a weight off my shoulders for sure. Guess the old gal just had a beef with the parking sensor! Hope this helps you out a bit, and fingers crossed your Sandero will be back in tip-top shape before you know it! Cheers!

Hey! Your advice has been a real life-saver! Now I've got a rough estimate about the costs I'm looking at and it doesn't sound too bad. With the way things are going, spending a couple hundred quids to prevent the constant beeping and warning lights seems pretty worth it. Sounds like you've got a good mechanic there as well. The aim is to find someone as reliable for my dear Sandero. It's always reassuring when all the rest of the car checks out alright. Let’s hope no other gremlins give me a surprise! Appreciate all your advice and well wishes. I feel a lot more confident now to handle this situation. Cheers to hopefully a beep-free drive ahead!
