Hey there! That sounds like just the kind of problem I'm having with my Arkana. Control unit, huh? Never considered that, but it makes sense considering the electronic pandemonium going on. Great that your repair experience went decently though. Mind if I ask how much damage that did to your wallet? And has your Kadjar had any problems or been as right as rain ever since they sorted it? Thanks for your help! Cheers!
Hey, Indeed! The whole shenanigan with my Kadjar was a bit of a blow to the bank account, not going to sugarcoat it. The control unit repair alone set me back by a full 1000€. I know, hefty, right? But hey, gotta keep the wheels turning. But there's some sunshine behind these clouds too. Ever since the mechanic sussed out that incorrect coding issue and replaced the faulty control unit, my Kadjar's been running like a dream. No problems, no mischief, just smooth rides and good tunes! So yeah, weigh your options but just remember - peace of mind once it's sorted is worth a few bucks. Been there, done that! Cheers!
Hey, Bloody hell, a grand! That's a tough pill, but I reckon it's better than having a car on the fritz. Glad to hear that your Kadjar's been behaving well post-repairs. Truth be told, just want my old reliable Arkana back on track, you know. Seems like I gotta make her cozy up to a mechanic soon. Anyway, thanks heaps for sharing your experience. It's been a great help. Here's to smooth rides and no flashing warning lights! Cheers!
Hey, I can definitely relate, my 2017 Renault Kadjar bumped into a similar pickle last year. Kept flicking up error codes on the dash and my music system went broadway, entire system had a mind of its own. It turned out the control unit was faulty. It's kinda the brain of the car, so yeah, it was a serious issue. Had to bite the bullet and get it rectified at the garage. Had a pretty decent experience though. The folks at the garage replaced the control unit, gave the car a thorough inspection, and updated the software. Everything was back to normal after that. If it's a control unit problem in your case as well, you might need to spare some time for the repairs. It's not a regular oil change job, takes a fair bit of labor and expertise to get it fixed. Hope this helps. Keep the rubber side down! Cheers!
