Hey there, I feel like I'm echoing, as I also encountered a similar glitch with my Scudo a while back. My problems were pretty much identical, all down to the dim lights and the fickle terminal 15. A good electrician finished off the terminal issue and everything sailed smoothly after that. With the annoying issues you're facing, I'd definitely recommend getting that relay checked out, as suggested. Out of curiosity,, do you remember roughly how much you were charged for the repair? Also, have you noticed any other quirky issues since the fix? Hopefully your Doblo continues running without hitches. Cheers, lads!
Hey back at you, You're spot on asking about the cost and any aftermath. I had to shell out about 130€ to get that pesky Motor control main relay squared away. It stung a bit, but it was definitely worth it for the peace of mind. Since seeing the mechanic, I'm happy to report the snafu with the Terminal 15 interruption has been fixed, and the Doblo's been behaving like a kitten. As far as any other quirky issues go, nothing's cropped up since that relay got sorted. Touch wood! Thanks a bunch for the well wishes and right back at ya with your Scudo. Cheers!
The relieving feeling to know that I'm not alone with these weird electrical issues is huge, guys. Thanks for your valuable suggestions, and! I must admit the relay didn't cross my mind as the main culprit, but it makes a ton of sense. Turning a blind eye isn't something I can afford, considering the potentially dire consequences with the engine. This might be the wake-up call I needed. The cost isn't much of a bother compared to the peace and smooth rides that come on fixing them,. I'm just hoping to find a decent mechanic around my place who would do the same professional work as your mechanics did on your Fiat Doblo. Will keep you guys on the loop on how it turns out after the check-up from the mechanic. Much appreciated all your insights! Cheers!
Hey, I totally feel you. Last time I was dealing with a similar situation. I've got a 2006 Fiat Doblo and had a similar issue not too long ago. It was super frustrating dealing with the haphazard electrical troubles. Turns out, it was indeed a problem with the motor control main relay. The mechanic at the garage, trusty fella, checked and confirmed the continuous coming on and going off of the dashboard lights was connected to the motor control main relay defects. The erratic behavior of my car's electrical system was as a result of a fault in the relay. This wasn't a piece of cake, I won’t lie, as it took some decent troubleshooting and a competent mechanic to identify the exact issue. The internal components were replaced and that sorted out the whole mess. It’s important you get it checked asap because it can lead to severe engine troubles if neglected. I hope this helps! Go find a decent mechanic and get the relay checked, I hope it’s nothing more. Good luck!
