Seeking Advice on Electrical and Air Conditioning Errors in 2004 Dacia Logan

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

|

General electric malfunction

Hey guys, running into some odd issues with my 2004 Dacia Logan, Gasoline engine model, about 17k on the clock. Lately, it's been having some general electrical problems, with a pesky warning light popping up on the speedo. Also, there's this peculiar air conditioning message error showing up. My last mechanic's visit was a bit of a nightmare, so looking to get some insight here first. Anyone ever experienced anything similar? How'd your mechanic handle it? Appreciate any advice you guys can give!

Hey! Had the same sorta issues with my 2001 Dacia Solenza, also a gasoline engine model. Damn thing gave me a right headache, with these unusual error messages too. Sounds like you have the same gremlin, a defective cold shut-off valve. Remember putting mine in the garage, and turns out that's exactly what it was. Didn't think it was a big deal at first, just an annoying electrical glitch. But, it got worst over time. Mechanic told me it was indeed some serious bugger, as it controlled the fuel flow to the engine. Could cause stalling while driving, which is never a fun situation, ain't it? The fix wasn't all that complicated though, just had to replace that defective valve. Took the guy a couple of hours, a bit of tinkering here and there and it was good as new. Also, gave the electrical system an overall check to make sure there were no other surprises waiting. So, don't mess around and take it to a reliable mechanic. Who knows what else that warning light might be trying to tell, eh? Cheers hope this helps!

Hey there! your experience totally echoes mine, had the same funky issues with my 2002 Dacia Logan, gasoline version. Those electrical glitches can really give you a run for your money, can't they? Curious though, you remember how much you forked over for that valve replacement? Don't need another unexpected hole in the wallet. And tell me, has your Dacia stayed quiet ever since, or has it been acting like a bit of a drama queen with new issues cropping up? Always good to be prepared for what's coming, ya know? Appreciate your dive into this mess with us!

Hey! Absolutely hear you on the unexpected costs bit. Fortunately, the cost for the cold shut-off valve deal was a smooth zero Euro. Yep, you heard it right, didn't cost me a dime. The guy had one spare lying around in the garage, so it was more about the labor than parts. Awesome bit of luck that was! Oh, and to your other question - ever since that trip to the mechanic, the AC issue pretty much sorted itself out. No more pesky warning message, and the Logan has been purring like a kitten. No new demons to battle, at least for now. Let me tell you making sure that you've got a good, trustworthy mechanic is a lifesaver. Definitely helps in not getting any unpleasant surprises down the line. Cheers hope this gives you some peace of mind!

Hey! Firstly, cheers for sharing your experiences, guys. Reading about your similar issues makes me feel like I'm not the only one an old Dacia is giving headaches to. That's such an unexpected relief hearing the valve didn’t cost you anything. I hope I'll be as fortunate on my next mechanic visit. And great to know the issue hasn't resurfaced too. Seems like it's a solid solution. You're absolutely right about the importance of a good, reliable mechanic. I better find myself one and not take any chances. Wish me luck! Thanks again for your help, fellas. You’ve put my mind at ease!
