Hey, thanks for reaching out. That's a pretty hefty bill, even if it does solve the problem! As for the VIN, I'm a bit uncomfortable sharing it online. But I'll definitely consider taking my Hyundai to a mechanic for a diagnostic test. PS: I've only clocked 9685 KM since my last service, if that helps.

Hey, that's fair enough about the VIN. I understand it could be a bit of a privacy concern. And yeah, 625 Euro was a bit of a shock, but, you know, what can you do? Just gotta bite the bullet I guess. Considering you've only clocked 9685 KM since the last service, it does seem a bit unusual for the AC compressor to conk off. But hey, stranger things have happened. I guess another thing to consider is, do you hear any unusual noises when you turn your AC on? That could be another sign of a dodgy compressor. In any event, I still reckon your best bet is to get a diagnostic from a professional. They'll be able to give you the most accurate advice. Keep us posted on how you go, interested to know what they find. Cheers!

Thanks for the tip about the noise. Now that you mentioned it, there's indeed a slight humming sound that wasn't there before. Maybe it's related. I agree, it's best I get it checked by a professional soon. Will make an appointment with my mechanic asap and will definitely update you guys on the outcome. Appreciate all the advice, cheers!

Hey there, I had a similar issue with my 2014 Hyundai H1 Diesel. At the time, I considered myself to have low experience with cars so I decided to get help. Took mine to a local shop. The mechanics ran a thorough check and ended up discovering it was indeed a faulty AC compressor. The total bill landed at around 625 Euro - not cheap, but at least my AC was cooling nicely after. Your model might well share a similar issue. You know your vehicle's VIN? Sharing it could help pinpoint the problem more precisely.
