Hey there, thanks for your reply! My Ioniq5 has done about 106731 KM, last service around a couple of months back. Yeah, you're absolutely right, I totally forgot about that I had to boost the car when I forgot the headlights on overnight. I never thought this could be a reason for transport mode! I appreciate your suggestion about the diagnostic tool; I'll definitely take it to me mechanic first thing tomorrow. I hope it won't cost me too much, though. Thanks again for your advice! Keep those wheels spinning. Cheers!
Hey there! No problem at all, happy to help. Yeah, the issue you're experiencing makes a lot of sense now. If I remember correctly, the mechanic mentioned that jump starting the car or an unexpected battery drain could unintentionally activate the transport mode. It's such a weird quirk, right? The payment for the diagnostic tool was not too bad on my end. You might get a bit of a shock when they tell you it's to disable the transport mode. I thought it was a bit strange to pay for turning off a feature, but hey - what choice did I have? And honestly, with how the car's been performing without these nagging issues, it's money well spent for me. By the way, I'd recommend you to check for any other faults while they're doing the diagnostics. I was quite surprised to find out that my car had some stored faults despite the car working just fine - so get everything checked just to be safe. Good luck with it, and let's keep those wheels spinning! Cheers!
Hey, really appreciate your advice and sharing your experience! I entirely agree – it's strange to be paying for deactivating a feature, but if it solves the issue, it's totally worth it. I'll definitely take your advice and get a full check when they're doing the diagnostics, just to be sure there aren't any other issues hiding behind the scenes. Not looking forward to the possible costs, but it's better to keep the car in tip-top shape, right? Thanks again for all your help! Keep those wheels burning rubber! Cheers!
Hey! I've actually had a very similar issue with my 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric. I don't know much about cars (I would say I have low experience), but I sought help from my local car workshop. The mechanic there explained that the car was in transport mode, just like you're suspecting with your Ioniq5. This happened to me because I had to jump start the car previously. For the solution, they had to use a diagnostic tool to disable the transport mode which cost me 45€. One quick check you can do is if your car was recently jump-started or if your battery was replaced because that could lead to this problem. But I'd seriously recommend getting a professional diagnosis to be sure. If you could tell me more about when the problem started or any unusual circumstances, I might be able to help more. Hope it gets sorted soon!
