Seeking Advice on Constant Airbag, ABS Warning Lights and Nonfunctional ABS/DSC System in 2022 Seat Tarraco

ABS/DSC system is not working

Airbag warning light

ABS warning light

Hey everyone, I've got a bit of a puzzler issue with my 2022 Seat Tarraco running on gasoline. It's acting out of the usual and I've noticed a few odd signs, including the airbag and ABS warning lights constantly on and the ABS/DSC system just doesn't seem to work. I suspect it's an error in the lateral acceleration sensor but I'd love to know if anyone has experienced this and how you got it fixed. What did your workshop say or do about it? I'm open to all suggestions and would appreciate hearing about your experiences. Cheers!

Hey, I had a similar thing happen with my 2020 Seat Ateca, both are Seat models, just a difference in year and model. I'm not a pro mechanic or anything, just got some experience under my belt from working on my own cars over the years. Turned out my ABS/DSC control unit was knackered. Had to take it to my local workshop, and those guys did a great job finding the issue and fixing it. Cost me around a grand though, not exactly cheap but had to get it sorted. It’s really important to have these sensors fixed as they are crucial for your car stability and safety, especially in adverse driving conditions. Also, could you share more info about your vehicle? Any recent changes or other problems? More details could help point at what's going wrong with your Tarraco. Cheers.

Hello, thanks for getting back to me. Much appreciated. You hit the nail on the head mentioning the ABS/DSC control unit, that's exactly what I was thinking too, though, hoping it wouldn't come down to it. You know, a thousand bucks isn't exactly pocket change. My Tarraco did clock 100604 KM or so, last service was about 5000 KM ago. I haven't had any major changes or any other issues, in fact, she's been running quite smoothly up until this point. Fingers crossed, it's nothing serious, but we'll see what the workshop says tomorrow. One thing's for sure, gotta get her back on track asap. It's nerve-wracking driving without those controls. Thanks again for the advice. I'll keep you posted. Stay safe out there. Cheers!

No worries at all. Yeah, shelling out a hefty chunk for car repairs is never nice, but as you said, safety first, right? Trust me, it's much better to bite the bullet and take care of these issues quickly. Given your car is clocking over 100,000 KM, these kind of sensor-related troubles can crop up. These problems are just part of the ride, it seems. Just curious, did your issues start showing up after the recent service? Sometimes a tiny discrepancy during routine maintenance can trigger such nuisances. Anyway, keep us updated. Hope she'll be back rolling smoothly ASAP. Stay safe and rock on, cheers!

Cheers! Good point about the last service, I hadn't even considered that. Now I'm scratching my head wondering if they might've missed something or if it's just the universe having a giggle at my expense. Well, no use fretting over what we can't control, eh? I'll be sure to mention it when I’m at the workshop tomorrow though. I'll definitely keep everyone in the loop. Who knows? My journey might help someone else down the line. Thanks again for all your input, it's always easier dealing with stuff like this when you know you're not alone. You stay safe too and keep those engines purring! Cheers!
