Seeking Advice on Addressing Low Tire Pressure Issue in 2014 Hyundai Xcent
Tire pressure to low
4 comment(s)
Hey there! Thanks for the quick resonse and sharing your experience. For my Xcent, it seems the pressure is dropping fairly quickly in all the tires, not just one. The last service was done at around 101706 KM, with no major issues reported then. Wondering if I may need to get the tire pressure monitor system checked out as well. Cheers for sharing the cost too, helps me plan better. Cheers!
Hey, glad to help! Given the symptoms you're experiencing with your Xcent, a faulty tire pressure monitor system could indeed be the culprit. But since it's all tires, it might be worth checking the condition of the tires themselves too. Sometimes worn-out tires or a small unnoticed puncture can cause the pressure to drop across all tires. Remember to keep an eye on the recommended pressure for each tire, should be in your car manual or there may be a sticker on the door. I'd definitely recommend a tack to the mechanic to get things nice and checked out. Hope it won't dent your bank too much! Safe driving!
Hey, really appreciate your insights and advice! Both the tire pressure monitor system and the condition of the tires are on my radar now. Didn't really consider the actual tires, so that's definitely something I'll talk to the mechanic about. And good call about checking the recommended pressure too, thanks for that reminder. Haha, let's hope the bank doesn't feel it too much! Cheers for all the help. Drive safe too!
Hey, had a similar issue with my 2012 Hyundai i20. I'm no car whiz, just got a bit of experience from dealing with my own car troubles. Took it to my local mechanic workshop, and ended up getting the tire pressure monitor system replaced. Cost me about 625 Euro, so possibly the same part could be defective on your car too. Can you tell me more about your tire pressure - like is it dropping quickly on a specific tire or all over? Might help to pinpoint the problem. Cheers!
