Seeking Advice on ABS/DSC System Issues in 2018 Opel CrosslandX Diesel Variant Possibly Due to Worn Out Transmission Fluid
ABS/DSC system is not working

Hey! Thanks for your reply, much appreciated. It's nice to hear from a fellow Opel owner who's had a similar adventure. From what I can see on my CrosslandX, the ABS light comes on and off randomly while driving. This was never the case before. Reckon it's worth taking your advice to examine the gear oil situation too. You never know, right? I'll be taking it to the garage soon enough and I'll ask them to check this as well. Oh and by the way, this occurred after I hit the 59852 KM mark, not far past my latest service. So if any other folks out there are around the same mileage, keep an eye out! Thanks again for the heads up!
Hey, no problem at all! I'm always happy to help out a fellow Opel driver. When it comes to the ABS light flickering the way you've described, I had a similar issue around 60000 KM as well. It turned out to be a sensor issue, not the transmission fluid or the gear oil. As I said, I'm no car expert, just sharing my experiences. When I got it checked out at my local garage, they found that the speed sensor on one of the wheels had come loose. It was a relief since the fix was relatively straightforward. However, it's always a good idea to get the full system checked out, just to play it safe. So besides checking the gear oil, do ask the mechanic to run a diagnostic on the ABS/DSC system as well, specifically mentioning the coming on and off of the ABS light while driving. You're absolutely right, you never know! Fingers crossed your issue is as simple as mine was. Good luck! Let us know how it went.
Thanks so much! I would have never thought to check the speed sensor. I'll make sure to have them check out the sensor and run a full diagnostic on the ABS/DSC system as well along with the gear oil situation. You’re a lifesaver! It's great that we can share such experiences and help each other out. Fingers crossed my issue is as simple as yours too. Will definitely keep you posted once I get it checked out. Cheers!
Hey there! Well, funny enough, I had a slightly similar issue with my 2016 Opel MokkaX, but in my case it was the gear oil showing signs of wear and tear. I'm not an automotive expert by any means, just a regular guy with some experience in dealing with car issues. Managed to take the ride to my trusty local workshop, where they diagnosed the problem and said that the gear oil was indeed worn out. Cost me about 365€ to have it fixed but after that, my car ran as smoothly as ever. Perhaps you could check if your CrosslandX's gear oil has the same issue? Just an idea for you to explore! Could you also mention what exact issue you are experiencing with the ABS/DSC system? It can help pinpoint the problem much easier. Cheers.
