Hey! Thanks for sharing your experience. Yeah, I was suspecting it could be something related to cable issues as well. As for the exact fault, it's showing "93F9 Electrical Fault, No Additional Info". That's what's leaving me a bit puzzled. Not much to go on, right? Btw, my i8 was last serviced at 22145KM. I guess it's time to pay a visit to the garage and, fingers crossed, it doesn't burn a hole in my pocket. Has anyone else faced this '93F9' mystery before?
Hey, glad to help! The '93F9' thing got me scratching my head a bit too. I remember getting a fault, but it didn't have that specific code. However, if I've learned anything from my time with BMWs, it's that these cars often link systems together, so one problem might trip a few warning signals. Given your mention of the airbag warning, I wonder if the '93F9' fault relates to the airbag system rather than the steering angle sensor. It might be an issue with the airbag control unit or the seat occupancy detector. Either way, I'd definitely advise visiting your mechanic. Those dudes know their stuff, and they can hook your car up to a machine that reads these fault codes and figures out the issue. Here's hoping it's not too costly to fix, fingers crossed! Let us know how it goes, yeah? Cheers!
Thanks a ton! You've given me a lot to think about. Yeah, the way BMW links the systems together, it could indeed be an airbag system issue. That '93F9' still feels like an enigma, though. But I'm counting on my mechanic to crack that code. You bet, I'll keep you all updated on how it goes. Fingers crossed, don't wanna see my wallet crying! Until then, cheers!
Hey there! I had a similar run-in with my 2016 BMW i3. Now, I’m far from an expert (got some experience, but no grease monkey), but when this happened, it turned out to be a cable connection to the sensor issue - not great, but not the worst either. I got it sorted at my local garage. Turns out it was a fairly straightforward fix. They just needed to replace the defective cable, ran me about 155 Euro, all in. Your issue could be a bit different, but it's always worth checking out. Can you give more details about the fault in your system? Might help to give a more specific answer. Hope this helps a bit!
