Hey there, your predicament sounds super similar to mine! Good to hear that you managed to get it all straightened out. It's quite a heck of a story, isn't it? Just goes to show how important it is to find a reliable mechanic - gotta keep that in mind. Your problem eventually got sorted after a brake system bleed and replacing the brake booster's pressure sensor, huh? Mind if I ask about how much you had to loosen the purse strings for getting all these repairs done? I'm just sort of gauging the impending dent in the ol' wallet if you catch my drift. Also, any more problems with your Alhambra since you got it fixed or has it been smooth sailing since? Thanks for the advice, appreciated! Safe driving to you too!
Hey! Indeed, it was a bit of a rollercoaster, but luckily it all got sorted out. You hit the nail on the head; a reliable mechanic makes all the difference. They properly bled the brake system and got that pressure sensor on the brake booster fixed - sweet as. As for the wallet damage - I had to shell out a cool 90€ to get the brake system properly bled. It ain't exactly pocket change, but considering it brought my Alhambra back to life, I reckon it's worth every cent! Since that little adventure, it's been smooth cruising. No more naughty warning lights, the ABS doing its job, and most importantly - brakes that now pack a punch. I guess that terrifying signal error on the brake booster is a thing of the past - fingers crossed! Just make sure you get your Tarraco sorted ASAP. I totally understand the worry about costs, but safety first, right? Good luck! Keep it rubber-side down!
Hey there! Yours is truly a compelling chronicle! Makes me realize that the journey to a dependable mechanic is half the battle. It's a lesson well learned. The brake bleeding and that bugger of a brake booster sensor - gonna dialogue with my mechanic about just those. Those figures you rattled off, 90€, did make me wince a bit, won't lie. But considering it's a matter of getting my Tarraco back on its wheels, I guess it's a fair deal. Brill to hear that your Alhambra is running nifty now with no repeats of any previous problems. Gives this lad a little hope, if you know what I mean. Safety, as you succinctly put, should definitely come first. You've been a real help with all your advice. Now it's time for me to bite the bullet and take my Tarraco to the mechanic's. Here's hoping it all pans out well - fingers and toes crossed! Happy motoring! My gratitude for sharing your wisdom - it's been invaluable. Keep safe on the roads!
Hey, Ran into a similar sitch with my 2016 petrol Seat Alhambra. ABS/DSC system was fussing up, strange lights popping up on the dash, and brakes that didn't quite 'bite' right, yeah? Turns out my mechanic had bungled up the brake bleed process post a brake pad change, which messed with the whole brake system. The ABS light wouldn't shut off and the brakes felt as mushy as porridge, if you get my drift. It was a serious snafu, no two ways about it. But don't sweat it too much. Once I got her to a reliable mechanic, they re-bled the brakes, sorted the pressure sensor issue with the brake booster and reset the ABS/DSC system. Had to redo the brake bleed process properly to get her back in shape. Also had to replace the brake booster's pressure sensor, which wasn't the hardest, but necessary. After that, no more warning lights, the ABS behaving like a champ, and brakes that could stop a stampede. So yeah, get your Tarraco checked pronto. Problem sounds exactly like mine and it's nothing a good mechanic can't handle. Just goes on to show, never underestimate a proper brake system bleeding! Drive safe and good luck!
