Electical handbrake is not working

Hey, Cheers for the reply and advice! That's interesting, didn't think about the possibility of the brake caliper. I've put a fair bit of mileage on my Tarraco, just ticked over to 162505 KM recently. Last service was a couple of months back, and everything appeared fine till this pesky handbrake issue cropped up. I might just have to drop by my local shop as you did. Thanks again, appreciated!
Hey back, No worries, glad to help! Ah, if you've racked up that kind of distance, then a wear-and-tear component issue like the brake caliper might indeed be a possibility. Sounds similar to when my Arona started acting up. Proper nuisances these electrical handbrakes are, eh? Before you head down to your local workshop though, you might want to check if there's an available software update for your Tarraco Hybrid. Sometimes these pesky issues can also be caused by outdated car software and can be fixed by simply updating it. Wish you the best with sorting out the issue. Looking forward to hearing about how it goes, fingers crossed it won't be as pricey as my Arona fix was! Cheers.
Hey there, Thanks again for the suggestion. Didn't cross my mind that it might be a software issue too, will definitely give that a check! Got to love the nuances of modern cars, huh? Appreciate your optimism about the fix not being too pricey. Hope you're right on the money there! Will surely keep you updated on how things turn out. Fingers crossed indeed! Take care and cheers!
Hey, Sounds like a similar issue I had on my 2022 Seat Arona. Not a car whizz by any means, but I do have some experience tinkering around with cars. Brought it over to my local shop and after checking it out, turned out to be a defective electric motor on the brake caliper. Sigh. Cost me 505 Euro to get it fixed straight up. Could you share a bit more about your Tarraco's usage and condition? That can help pinpoint potential culprits a bit better. Hope this helps a tad. Good luck!
