Hey, thanks for the heads up! I didn't imagine it could be something as serious as a DSC/ABS control unit fault. I'll certainly get it checked out pronto. Out of curiosity, do you recall how much you shelled out for the repair? And have you stumbled upon any other related issues since it got fixed? Cheers!
Hey! No problems, happy to help! So, the cost for fixing the DSC/ABS control was something in the neighborhood of a grand - around 1000€. I know, it hurt my wallet as well, but given the serious nature of the problem it seemed like a no-brainer to get it sorted asap. And since I had it fixed up, I've been lucky enough to not run into any more related problems. Plus the worn brake issue I initially believed I was dealing with was resolved as well by the mechanic while fixing the major bit. So it's all good! Best advice I have is, get it checked rather earlier than later. Drive safe!
Ah, that's a decent chunk of change. But you're right, can't put a price on safety, can we? Glad to hear that you haven't run into any more trouble and it resolved your brake issue as well. I appreciate all the advice. I'll definitely haul my Tarraco to a reliable mechanic ASAP and get this sorted. Thanks a heap, you've been a lot of help. Here's hoping for some good luck and safe drives! Cheers!
Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2020 Seat Ateca. Had this annoying DSC/ABS control unit fault light coming on. Honestly thought it's brakes or something like yours at first, but it turned out to be a bit more complex. Last time I visited my garage it was exactly this - a DSC/ABS control unit fault. I'm no mechanic but from what they told me, it's something related to the whole braking and stability system of the car. It was definitely a serious issue, not your usual maintenance job. Had it fixed though and it's been smooth sailing since. My advice, don't ignore it too long, it's important to have it sorted as it can affect the overall stability and safety of your vehicle on the road. Better safe than sorry, right? So don't sweat it too much, just find a decent mechanic who's familiar with these systems. Good luck!
