Seeking Advice on 2022 Seat Tarraco's Defroster Flap Control Issues

Blower does not work properly

Hey folks, I've got a bit of a problem with my 2022 Seat Tarraco, it's got a Gasoline engine with 123,900 KM on the clock. Here's the thing, my blower isn't working right, and I'm thinking it could be an issue with the Defroster flap control. Any one of you had a similar issue with your ride? Especially interested in hearing about your experiences at the mechanic's as I had a not-so-great trip last time around. Cheers!

Hey, I have a 2019 Seat Leon and had a similar bash up with my blower a while back. Was spot on with your guess; it turned out that my Servomotor cable connection was the naughty one causing all the trouble. It controls the defroster flap and had gotten defective. Had to swing by my garage and the guys there did a solid job, fair play to them. They had to get in deep to the HVAC system, needed to reconnect the Servomotor cable and tinker around till things got back to normal. It wasn't just a quick filter swap-out kind of job, but let me tell you, it was well worth the effort in the end. Of course, I was without my trusty Leon for a few days, but when she came back it was like she'd been reborn! So yeah, I'd say it was a serious enough issue, especially if you're not too thrilled about scuffing up your knuckles a bit. Hope this helps you out, cheers!

Hey there. Yeah, I reckon I've got something similar brewing with my Tarraco. Sounds like your Leon's shenanigans might just be the clue I needed! Just curious - do you happen to remember how much you ended up forking out for that repair work? I'm trying to figure out what kind of a dent this is going to put in my wallet. And another thing, any other gremlins popped up related to this since your repair? Appreciate the help! Cheers!

What's up! So about the repair cost, it set me back a good 200 quid. All that was mostly for sorting out the Servomotor cable connection, which had gone all defective on me. A bit pricey, I know, but totally worth it if you ask me. Now to answer your last question. Since those guys at the garage gave her the once-over, the Defroster flap control's been working like a charm. No other gremlins to report, it's been all smooth sailing. My Leon's blowers are now blowing stronger than ever, thanks to that fix. So yeah, hope this gives you a bit of peace of mind. All the best with your Tarraco and its repair! Cheers!

Ah fair enough! That's a bit of a hit, but I suppose there's no skirting around it with this issue. It's good to hear though that your Leon has been breathing easy since then! That does give me some peace of mind, for sure. Going to the mechanic is always a nail-biting experience, isn't it? Right then, got to take the old Tarraco in tomorrow. Fingers crossed that it's the same issue and not something else. Tick tock, back to the grind with all these car troubles! Cheers for the help, saved me some head scratching!
