Hey, Thanks for sharing. Sounds like a right nightmare with the battery, glad you got it sorted. The unpredictability of it all is what's winding me up - one second it's totally fine, next minute it's throwing up error codes! Looks like there's no avoiding a trip to the mechanic then. I'll probably get it looked at by a Renault Specialist, like you suggested. Just out of curiosity, do you recall roughly how much you ended up shelling out for the battery fix? And has anything else cropped up since? Cheers for the advice! Will certainly keep you all updated on the situation.
Hey there, Ah, the good ol' 'how much did it cost you?' question. Well, to set the record straight, the battery fix set me back by around €290, which wasn't exactly a walk in the park, but all things considered, it was worth it considering the uninterrupted drives I'm getting now. As for the passenger electric seat error, I'm happy to report that I got that sorted out as well since my last visit to the mechanic. So far, so good. Knock on wood, hopefully, it stays that way! Sounds like you've got the right game plan in place - getting it looked at by a Renault Specialist. In my experience, they know their stuff, so you'll be in good hands. Eager to hear how it goes, do keep us informed! Stay safe and happy motoring!
Hey, Thanks for the heads up! €290 is steep, but can't really put a price on peace of mind, can you? Glad to hear you've not had any other issues since! I'll definitely be knocking on wood for both of us. Renault Specialist it is, then. You don't happen to know any good ones around, do you? Appreciate the advice, again! I'll be sure to keep you and the rest of the gang updated on the saga. Safe travels! Cheers!
Hey, Yeah, can totally understand your situation. I experienced something similar not too long ago with my 2016 Renault Kadjar. Not exactly the same issue, but a bit of a knee-wobbler for sure - battery went defective. Didn't have any tell-tale signs either. One day, it's running smooth as butter, next thing you know, boom, the car doesn't start. I managed to get it to my local garage, and after hooking my Kadjar up to the diagnostic tool, they found out the battery was defective. It wasn't a fun experience for me either. But, cars are complex machines, sometimes things just go wrong and it can happen with any part. So, in terms of seriousness, it wasn't "call the Automobile AAAs" serious, but it wasn't something I would've been able to ignore for a long time either. In terms of tackling the issue, my advice would be to get it looked at by a competent mechanic, preferably someone who's good with Renaults. Let them do the diagnostics and see what error codes pop up. Once you know what you're dealing with, they can give you the options for fixing it. Best of luck! Keep us posted on how it goes.
