Hey there! Honestly, you've given me some relief here, it sounds like you went through exactly what my Renault Arkana's doing now. I'm glad to hear yours is running smoothly after the fix. If you don't mind me asking, do you remember the damage it did to your wallet? And has anything else popped up since the repair? Appreciate it!
Hey! I totally get your concerns, the wallet damage is never a fun part, right? Well, I had to shell out around 205€ for the repair job. Not exactly a breeze but trust me, totally worth it considering how smoothly my Kadjar runs now. The work itself involved replacing those faulty vent lines running from the tank to the valve. Not a simple task and definitely needed a pro-hands on it. Since that repair, the old beast is back to its peak. I've also not had any DMTL valve errors popping up, thankfully, and the driving's been smooth sailing. So, I'd say go for it, I reckon it'll fix your Arkana up real nice. Hope this helps! Hang in there.
Hey! You've been a huge help, seriously! Phew, while 205€ is not a small amount, it indeed seems worth it if it gets my Arkana running like yours. I was really worried about this whole situation, what with the DMTL valve and all, but your shared experience has eased my anxiety a lot. Time to find a good mechanic and get the issue sorted. I'm particularly relieved to learn that no further issues arose once the problem was attended to. I'll definitely take your advice and go for it. Thanks a heap! Cheers!
Hey, Your hunch doesn't seem off the mark. Had the same sorta problem with my 2018 Renault Kadjar a while back. The beast was rattling and stalling just as you described. I got a solid mechanic who figured out it was indeed something wrong with the vent lines from the tank to the valve. Essentially, they were defective. The job to fix it wasn't a walk in the park, let me tell you. First, they had to inspect the entire fuel and emission system to pinpoint where the problem was coming from. You know, it ain't always as simple as guessing and being right about it. Once they found out the issue, they had to replace the defective vent lines and check that the DMTL valve was functioning correctly. It wasn't something I could have done over a weekend with a few internet guides. The pro job done at the garage was essential, considering the technical depth of the repair. Good news is, after all that, the car ran like a dream, no more stalling or shaking. So it is a serious issue but fixing it will sort your Arkana out. Good luck!
