Locking/Unlocking issue

Hey folks, I could really use some advice here. I'm having a quirky issue with a 2020 Volvo S60 Diesel. The car's behaving oddly - it's got key fob problems, has trouble locking/unlocking, and the warning light on the speedometer won't go off. Do you think it could be down to an empty ignition key battery? Have any of you had a similar issue? What did your workshop do to get it fixed? I'd love to hear your experiences or any tips you might have. Cheers!

Hey there, Happened to my 2018 Volvo S90 too, it's some kinda common Volvo thingy, I reckon. I got low experience but still managed to figure this out. Went to my local workshop, they replaced the key battery and sorted it all out for me. Cost me about 37.50 Euro. Total piece of cake! I'm curious about your car's full condition and model details. Maybe I can help out further. Cheers!

Hey, Thanks for your help! That sure does give me hope. My S60 has already clocked 146,300 KM and its latest service was just a few months back. I guess it's due for its next service soon. Yeah, I think I'll just pop down to my local workshop and ask them to check the key fob battery. Appreciate your advice! Cheers!

Hey, Glad to hear you found the advice helpful! Given the mileage on your S60, it certainly wouldn't hurt to have a complete checkup during your next service. While you're getting the fob battery checked, maybe ask them to also have a look at the electrical system. Sometimes, these quirky issues are just symptoms of something larger at play. Best of luck! Keep us posted on how it goes. Cheers!

Hey, Sounds like a plan! A complete check-up does seem like the need of the hour. I'll make sure to ask them to check the electrical system too. Fingers crossed it's nothing major. Will definitely give you a heads-up on the progress. Thanks once again for your insights! Cheers!
