Seeking Advice on 2020 Skoda Enyaq's Navigation System Failure

Navigationssystem is not working

Hey! I've got a 2020 Skoda Enyaq Electric and it's starting to give me some grief. The navigation system has suddenly stopped working and I'm wondering if this might be because of a screen failure. Has anyone else had the same problem and if so, how did you get it sorted out at your workshop? Would love to hear your experiences and any tips you might have! Thanks.

Hey there, I've got a 2018 Skoda Karoq and ran into a similar issue with the display getting damaged. By no means am I an expert in car tech, but I've had some experience dealing with car problems. I took my Skoda to a reliable workshop. They diagnosed it and unfortunately replacing the whole display unit was the only fix. Cost me a pretty 725 Euro. You didn't mention if your Enyaq has any additional features like the virtual cockpit or the head-up display. This info could help in figuring out the problem a bit more. Hope this helps and you get your issue sorted soon!

Hey, thanks for the insight! My Enyaq does have the virtual cockpit, not sure if that might complicate things a bit more. By the way, it's pretty low mileage for a 2020 model, only driven 15785 KM, so I'm quite annoyed at running into issues this soon. Will contact my workshop and hope it won't be as pricey as yours. Thanks again!

Hey, no worries, always here to share my two cents. Having the virtual cockpit might add a bit more complexity if it turns out to be a software issue. Don't panic yet though, it might not necessarily mean the whole unit needs replacement. I remember with my Skoda, prior to the screen damage, I had a minor software issue once where the navigation froze. The workshop did a system reset and that sorted things right out. Since your Enyaq's mileage is low, fingers crossed it could be something simple like this. It's super annoying when brand new tech starts acting up, I totally feel you. Please do update us after you've been to the workshop. It'd be interesting to see how the electric model differs in these scenarios. Good luck hope it's just a minor problem!

Thanks! I really appreciate your advice and shared experience. It does help to know the problem may not be as serious as I first feared. I have made an appointment with my workshop for next week and will keep my fingers crossed that it just needs a system reset. I will share my experience here once it's sorted out. It could indeed be interesting to see if the electric model reacts differently to these types of issues. Cheers!
