Hey there! Wow, thanks for sharing - sounds like I'm in for a similar journey with my Telluride. Out of curiosity, do you recall roughly how much the mechanic charged to fix it? And have any other issues popped up since then? Trying to get a feel for any potential surprises. Thanks again and safe travels!
Hey! Oh yeah, the mechanic's bill for that elusive cable problem ended up being about 155.00 €, but it fixed up everything perfectly, so definitely worth it. Since that adventure, they also managed to tackle that faulty windshield wiper relay you were suspecting. I haven't had any other major issues with my Sorento since! Based on my experience, it seems like these KIAs sometimes like to throw us a curveball, but nothing too serious. Good idea on your part to look out for those little surprises! Happy motoring, and stay safe out there!
Cheers! You've been a massive help. Gotta brace myself for that 155.00 €, but knowing it essentially 'cured' the car makes it seem worth it. I'll take your advice and drop my Telluride off at the mechanic's soon. If there's anything else on its mind aside from the wiper relay issue, hopefully they'll catch it. Here's to smooth drives ahead without any more vehicle curveballs! Thanks again, drive safe, and happy motoring!
Hey! I had a similar issue with my 2017 KIA Sorento. Seems like it might be a common problem for KIAs. My wipers went haywire, and my dashboard looked like a Christmas tree with a flickering warning light. Tried to pick through it myself, changed the wiper relay but no luck. Took her to a mechanic and it turned out a cable connection was defective. It wasn't the easiest fix: had to take out the whole dashboard to sort it out but the issue was identified right there, cable wasn't doing its job properly. Don't sweat it though, it wasn't like the engine giving out or something. Annoying, but not life-threatening. Just take it to a trusty mechanic, they'll help you out. Drive safe!
