Hey, thanks for the swift reply! Hearing that your problem was slightly similar gives me a bit of relief - fingers crossed it's just a cable connection glitch like you said. Your experience has definitely shed some light on this confusing situation, thanks for sharing that! Just a quick one though, can you recall how much the whole repair thing set you back? And have any other problems popped up after the fix, or has it been smooth sailing since? Looking forward to your response, cheers!
Hey back! I'm glad my story could provide some clarity. Oh, right, I forgot to mention the cost part, didn’t I? So, the whole repair thing cost me about 155.00 €. That covered sorting out the defective cable and plug connection. I reckon it was money well spent, considering it has been hassle-free since the fix. After seeing my mechanic, that Flex-Ray bus error you mentioned, it got ironed out as well; ain't been a problem since. The mighty Kia's been running silky smooth, zero glitches, and that ghost in my nav system– yeah, totally poltergeisted away! Hope that puts some of your worries to rest. Seriously, though, wouldn't delay that garage visit any longer if I were you. Cheers!
Hey there! I appreciate your timely response and all the insightful info. 155.00 € doesn't sound too shabby at all from what you've described, I was ready for a heftier bill. It's good to hear your Kia has been running smoothly post-fix, I can only hope the same for mine. As suggested, I think it's best I stop twiddling my thumbs and head down to the mechanic ASAP. Your journey with the whole Flex-Ray bus error and cable connection glitch gives me enough hope that this might be a similar story. Well, drums rolling, fingers crossed, and here I go into the world of car repairs. I'll catch up with you after the dust settles on this, hopefully with good news. Thanks a heap and catch you later!
Hey there! Totally understand where you're coming from - I've had a somewhat similar issue with my '17 Kia Optima not too long ago. I was getting all sorts of weird electronic issues, even had my radio going on and off on its own. Turns out, it was the cable connection causing the trouble, similar to what you could be dealing with. Took it into the garage, and the mechanic found some corrosion affecting the connection. The problem wasn't just about the plugin connection being defective but also a certain part of the wiring system that was a tad bit damaged. The technician fixed the issue by reestablishing the connection, replaced the corroded part of the cable, and secured the plugin connection. It wasn't a massive operation but somewhat a serious issue because it's linked to electrical glitches - don't want those sneaky electrical gremlins messing up the system. Have you checked the connections yet? You might want to do it pretty soon if you haven't. If it's similar to what I experienced, the sooner it's taken care of, the better. Hope this helps!
