Seeking Advice on 2020 Hyundai Palisade Lock and Key Fob Issues

Key fob issues

Locking/Unlocking issue

Hey, recently I've been dealing with some quirks on my 2020 Hyundai Palisade (gasoline version, around 22.3K km driven). It's got issues with the locks and the key fob. It seems like there's a restriction in its central locking function I guess. Given an unpleasant experience with my last mechanic, I thought it would be wise to seek some advice here before heading to a professional. Anyone got any experience with similar situations? How was your mechanic experience? Any insights would be much appreciated.

Hey, sounds like a similar pickle I found myself in with my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. Just like yours, my ride started showing up trouble with the central locking system and the key fob. Turns out the devil was a defective cable connection. It wasn't a piece of cake, to be brutally honest. Initially, the diagnostic testing was a bit of a headache given the whole electronic complexity. Once they pinned it down on the cable connection though, things started moving a bit smoother. Needed quite a bit of tinkering with the wiring and replacing faulty bits. Troublesome as it may sound, it wasn't really a critical issue but definitely one that couldn't be neglected, especially with the security system. As a friendly heads up, get a competent mechanic to look under the hood. It's a good thing you're doing your homework before plunging in. Hope this helps!

Hey there, it looks like I'm following the same path as you guys with my Hyundai Palisade. Locks playing up and the fob is acting all wonky. Thanks for the heads up on the faulty cable connection, definitely something I'll mention to my mechanic. By the way, how much did you fork out to get all that wiring fixed on your Santa Fe? Has anything else cropped up since you got it all sorted? Cheers in advance!

Hey there! After I got my Santa Fe fixed, it's been smooth sailing for the most part. As for the cost, well, I had to drop a total of 155 € for sorting out the cable connection. It was a bit of a sting to the wallet but not as harsh as being left with malfunctioning locks! Ever since that issue was resolved, the central locking has been behaving just fine. Not a single problem since. Seems like the mechanic did a pretty solid job there. Fingers crossed that your situation turns out just as well!

Wow, great to hear your Santa Fe is smooth sailing now and the cost wasn't as savage as I'd feared. Hearing concrete stories makes me feel a bit more prepared for what's lying ahead. Appreciate your time and insights, guys! I'm off to talk to my mechanic armed with all this info. Fingers crossed my Hyundai Palisade takes a leaf out of your Santa Fe's book and behaves from here on out. Will update you on how it turns out. Wish me luck, fellas!
