Hey there, Thanks a ton for taking the time to share your similar ordeal. So it turned out to be the fuel pump software going haywire for you, huh? Good to know that a fix didn't involve pulling loads of stuff out or replacing big parts – just a bit of tech tweaking. Just one thing though, do you happen to remember what you forked out for the repair? Also, since getting that fixed, have you had any other related issues pop up, or has it all been smooth sailing? Cheers!
Hey again, No worries at all, happy to shed some light! So I shelled out a neat 45€ for my mechanic to get that fuel pump software squared away. Could've been worse, I reckon! As for your second question - I'm pleased to report that, since that little software tweak, everything's been going great with my Duster. No more low pressure fuel system shenanigans or any other related issues for that matter. Honestly, it's like I brought a brand new car home after the fix. Hope you can get yours sorted, too. Cheers!
That's great to hear! Thanks for the valuable insight. In fact, you've eased my worries a bit. If it's the same case with my Logan, it won't be too heavy on the wallet then. And who knows, I might get that brand new car feel as well once it's fixed! I'll definitely discuss the potential fuel pump software issue with my mechanic and see what he says. Cheers for the help and fingers crossed my story turns out like yours! Take care.
Hey! I can totally relate to what you're going through. I've got a 2017 Dacia Duster, and last year I had similar issues. Black smoke, jerky acceleration, stalling while idling, you name it. Turned out it was the fuel pump software that was messed up. Apparently, there were incorrect values that were messing up the fuel system, causing the engine to behave erratically. And yes, I can tell you, it sure was a big deal. It was like my car was on the brink of a nervous breakdown. Luckily, my mechanic was a real professional. Looked at the car, did some diagnostics, and came back with a solution. He reprogrammed the fuel pump software, tuned it, and sorted out the incorrect values. Afterward, my Duster was back to running like its good old self again. Smooth acceleration, stable engine, no more black smoke, and the fuel consumption also came back to normal. It was quite an extensive process but wasn't a major operation where they had to pull stuff out or replace things. Not sure if this is exactly what's happening to your Logan but it's worth asking your garage to check on it and see if your fuel pump software needs tweaking. Best of luck! Cheers.
