Seeking Advice on 2019 Volvo S60 Diesel's Blower Issues and Suspected AUC Sensor Signal Error

Blower does not work properly

|

Insufficient Cooling/Heating

Hey folks, I've got a bit of a headache with my 2019 Volvo S60 Diesel (clocked 66,967 KM). My blower's being weird and the car isn't heating or cooling like it should. Now, I'm no expert but I'm suspecting it might be something to do with an AUC sensor signal error. Been to a mechanic before and it wasn't a great experience, to be honest. Has anyone here dealt with something similar before and could shed some light? How did your mechanic handle it? Appreciate any input!

Hey there, totally get your frustration. I drive a 2016 Volvo S90 and had a darn similar issue not too long ago. The heating/cooling was all over the place and found out it was an issue with the AUC sensor itself, not just the signal error. So, took her down to the garage. The mechanic ran a complete diagnostics and confirmed the faulty AUC sensor was messing with the Cli Control System. It wasn't too serious, though. Just a problem if you'd like. Getting the sensor replaced did the trick. The entire HVAC system started working like a charm again. Now, I'm no expert either, but faulty sensors tend to give wrong instructions to the system. So, it seems like you're on the right track suspecting the AUC sensor signal error. Worth having it checked out for sure. Good luck!

Cheers for the input! Your experience sounds super similar to mine. Glad to hear that replacing the AUC sensor did the trick for you. Vaguely remember the mechanic talking about the HVAC system too. Going off on a limb here, but do you recall how much it all cost you to get it sorted? And has anything else popped up since you got it fixed? Would love to go in with as much knowledge as possible. Thanks again!

Hey again! Happy to help. If memory serves me right, the entire fix rap cost me around 90€. That was mostly for fixing the AUC sensor itself, it had gone haywire. Ever since getting it replaced, the HVAC system has been nothing short of stellar - no new issues whatsoever. So, rest assured, once you get that pesky sensor sorted, you should be golden again. Drop me a line if you've got more questions, alright? Good luck with it all!

Hey, thanks heaps for the reassurance and the handy info, truly appreciated! Seems like a reasonably inexpensive fix for such a headache. I'll definitely leap onto getting the AUC sensor checked and hopefully replaced if needed. It's comforting to hear you've had no hitches with the HVAC system post the repair - fingers crossed the same goes for me! Will absolutely reach out if something pops up. Thanks again for everything, you've been a massive help. All the best!
