Hey! Appreciate you sharing your experience. Really helps to get pointers from real-life situations. Regarding your question, my Arkana hasn't been in any accidents. And as for last service, it was done at the mileage of 175091 km. Didn't notice anything out of ordinary then, it's just started acting up recently. Take care and thanks again for the advice. I'll definitely consider your suggestion about the neck shaft solenoid valve. Fingers crossed it all works out.
Hey again, No worries, happy to help! It's great that your Arkana has not been in any accidents, and also good that you've been keeping up with the regular servicing. Sometimes, components can fail all of a sudden, even if they were fine at the last service. Given all the symptoms you've mentioned, I still strongly suspect the solenoid valve or a camshaft adjustment issue. But as I had said earlier, it's definitely best to have it diagnosed by professional mechanics and detect any other underlying problems. Let's hope for the best and remember; better fix it soon before it escalates into a more serious (and potentially more expensive) problem. Keep us updated on how it pans out, always good to share knowledge and solutions to these car troubles. Keep up the good spirit, and take care!
Hey, thanks for the speedy response and the reassurance! I've booked an appointment with my mechanic for tomorrow. Will convey your suggestions and let's see what they diagnose. I'll surely update you guys after the workshop visit. Here's hoping it's nothing too expensive! Appreciate your help and will be in touch. Cheers and take care!
Hey there, Sounds like a similar situation I had with my 2017 Renault Kadjar, petrol model. Like you, my check engine light was on and she was burning more fuel than a spaceship! Let me tell you, I have some experience with cars (not a mechanic, just an enthusiast), so I didn't have to stare at it blankly. Took it to my local workshop where they are excellent and really reliable. They did a diagnostic and found out the culprit was one of the neck shaft solenoid valves. Either it was defective or there was no power supply to it. They ended up replacing it and that cost me around 250 euro. After the repair, my car was running smooth as butter, and light on fuel consumption too. Can't say for sure if this is your case, I’m only sharing my own experience, but it might be worth checking into. By the way, could you provide a bit more about your car's state? Like, has the car been in any accidents or maintenance history? Any additional info could help me (and others in the forum) give you more pointed advice. Take care.
