Seeking Advice on 2019 Mazda CX5 Blower Issues and Rear Ventilation Flap Malfunction

Blower does not work properly

Hey there I'm driving a 2019 petrol Mazda CX5, got around 174929 KM on it. Lately, I've noticed that the blower isn't working too well. I'm suspecting there might be a problem with the rear ventilation flap. Anyone experienced a similar problem with their motor? Wanna know about your experience at the mechanic, last time I went it wasn't exactly roses. Cheers!

Hey there, That does sound a bit like what happened with my '16 Mazda CX3. Not too long ago, I also had issues with the blower not working at its best. It turned out, the servo motor for the HVAC system that controls the rear ventilation flap was acting up. No reason to go into panic mode, though. It's a common issue that tends to happen due to wear and tear, especially with the mileage you've racked up. My garage fixed it by replacing the faulty servomotor. It wasn't exactly a walk in the park, required a fair bit of work, but it's nothing your local mechanic can't handle. Remember to get it checked soon to avoid any upcoming discomfort. Safe travels!

Hey! Your experience with the '16 Mazda CX3 blower problem sounds super helpful! Cheers for that. Kinda brings up a few more questions, though. Do you recall roughly how much the garage stung you for the servo motor replacement? Just wanna get a sense of what I might be in for, you know? Also, if you don’t mind me asking, since your mechanic dealt with the blower issue, has anything else down the line cropped up? In my experience, when one part starts acting up, sometimes it's a sign there might be other gremlins lurking in there. Thanks a lot! Safe driving!

Hey! I totally get you wanting to be in the know about potential costs. If memory serves me correctly, I was looking at around 170.00 € for the servomotor fixup. Sure, it wasn't exactly pocket change, but it's great value considering it set my blower back on track. And you'll be glad to hear this - ever since my mechanic sorted out the rear ventilation flap issue, things have been going smooth as silk! Looks like the problematic servomotor was the only gremlin giving me gyp. If anything, my CX3 has been behaving better than ever! Makes you appreciate a crisp air blow on a hot day, eh? Safe motoring, dude and no worries!

Hey there. Ah, feeling a smidge relieved now, knowing the cost isn't as astronomic as I half expected. That 170€ doesn't sound like the end of the world for me. Cheers for the insight! Your news on the smooth sailing since the fix-up is incredibly reassuring. Can't wait to get it done and finally enjoy that crisp breeze blowing on the back of my neck again! Yes, just need to schedule an appointment with my mechanic now. Fingers crossed, there won't be any more gremlins lurking around the engine. Thanks a ton for your help! Safe roads. Cheers!
