Seeking Advice on 2019 Fiat Panda's Height Control Issues Causing Uneven Sitting and Excessive Bouncing

Excessive Bouncing

Uneven Ride Height

Hey I've been having a bit of a weird issue with my 2019 Fiat Panda. Lately, it's been sitting unevenly and even bounces too much. Kinda suspecting it might be the height control causing problems here. Has anyone of you had this problem before? How did you or your mechanic resolve it? Any tips or experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey there! I had a similar issue a while back with my 2017 Fiat 500. Trust me, I'm no mechanic, but just a gearhead with some car fixing experience under my belt. Turned out to be a defective cable connection on a sensor in my case. I went to my trusty local workshop, and they got it sorted in a jiffy. Cost me about €155 to get it fixed and since then, no more bouncy castle rides! In your case, it could be a similar issue. If it's alright, can you let me know if you've had any warning lights on or any other issues? Might be able to provide a little more help with additional info. Keep me posted, okay? Cheers!

Hey! Huge thanks for that quick reply! You've definitely given me relief. No warning lights so far, thankfully. Only unusual happening was the bounces. My Panda has about 35690 km on it, just had it serviced a couple of weeks ago, everything was all fine then. So, this sudden issue came out of the blue. I guess I'll give a visit to the mechanic, see if any cable connections are off, just like in your case. Thanks again. Will keep you posted!

No problem at all! It's good to hear that there are no warning lights - that at least rules out some serious issues. These bouncing problems can be sneaky, I tell ya! Since you've had it serviced recently, it could be something minor like a cable connection issue, for sure. I might recommend getting your suspension springs and dampers checked as well. Uneven ride height and excessive bounce can also be due to worn or broken springs. Especially given your Fiat's mileage, it might be worth taking a look. Anyway, a visit to your local mechanic definitely sounds like the right call. Just remember, don't let them sell ya anything unneeded. Get a second opinion if need be. Good luck and do keep me updated on how it goes! Safe travels!

Brilliant suggestion about checking the suspension springs! Never really crossed my mind. You bet, I'll be cautious about any unneeded fixes. Let's see if it's just sensor connections or something more. Appreciate all your help here. Headed to the mechanic first thing in the morning and I'll be sure to give you an update. Thanks a bunch again and safe travels to you too! Safe and bounce-free, that is. Cheers!
