Hey, thanks for chipping in! It's reassuring to hear your experience and honestly, your situation sounds so much like mine. Pretty eager to get my Niro running back at its pace. It might be a long shot, but do you recall vaguely how much you shelled out to get the Radiator shutter wiring harness fixed? I'm trying to get an idea before I get her checked again. And since you had it fixed, any other unforeseen issues pop up, or has your Optima been running like a dream? Cheers!
Hey, no problem! So, about the cost, I remember quite well because it was a bit of a sting. I ended up paying around €215.0 to sort out the radiator shutter wiring harness. Yeah, a bit pricey, but hey, it was lurking behind the bumper and took some effort to get to, as I mentioned earlier. But let me tell you, it was worth it. After that fix, my Optima has been running like a champ again. Oh, and as you mentioned the Controlled Air Damper, guess what, it was indeed causing a fuss, but ever since seeing the mechanic for the wiring harness fix, that issue hasn't come back. So, I guess they got that sorted out as well at the same time. Touch wood, right? No more unexpected check engine light scares or overheating issues to report since then. Honestly, it's been a smooth ride (pun intended!) ever since. Hope everything works out for your Niro too! Keep us posted.
Hey, your response is super helpful. Honestly, that's a bit steep! But from your perspective, it seems like it's definitely worth the money if it sorts out the overheating issues and the 'check engine' light. So, here's me crossing my fingers that it'll be the same in my case. Nice to hear that your Optima is running great now. That's how we like it to be, right? No unexpected surprises and a smooth ride. Bear with me while I take a deep breath before the mechanic's visit. I'll make sure to keep you guys updated on how everything runs out. Thank you again! You've put me at ease. Cheers!
Hey there! That sure sounds like a pain. I had a similar issue with my 2016 Kia Optima, it's the worst when your ride starts acting up. Last time I was at the garage, they figured out my Radiator shutter wiring harness was acting up. It was hiding behind the bumper, almost like it didn't want to be found, you know? Anyway, after pulling out half the car, theyaged to reach it. Turned out, it was pretty worn out, possibly affecting the proper functioning of the air damper. The mechanic told me that this isn't uncommon with high mileage cars like ours. So, yeah, it seems like a no-brainer that could be your problem. It was impactful to the vehicle's health, so no harm done checking it, right? It's a relief now though, no more unusual overheating or check engine lights. Turned out to be an epic learning experience, honestly. Hope it helps. Best of luck with your Niro!
