Hey, thank for the quick reply! Yeah, it does sound similar to your issue, but I haven't done any recent work on the engine or sensors. Also, my Logan is manual. I always keep it well-maintained, the last service was when the mileage hit 145861 KM. I'll definitely take it to the workshop to check the throttle valve's condition. Thanks again for your advice!
No problem, glad to help! Since you haven't done any recent work on the engine or sensors and maintain a regular service, it does reinforce the potentiometer issue. Given that your Logan is a manual, the symptoms you described could very well be a malfunctioning throttle valve. It's difficult to say without actually looking at the car, but it's worth mentioning to the mechanic. The unsteady engine and poor fuel economy could also be caused by this. Just as a word of caution - if the throttle valve is indeed the issue, drive carefully until you get it checked - when my Sandero had this issue, I found it unpredictable when accelerating and it could be a tad dangerous if the engine cuts power while you're on the move. Stay safe and let us know how the visit to the workshop goes!
Thanks for the valuable advice and that word of caution. I can totally understand, it's been pretty unpredictable during my drives, and safety is the key. I'll be careful until I get it to the mechanic. Of course, I'll mention the symptoms and your experience as well. Fingers crossed it's only the throttle valve acting up. I'll keep you posted about the workshop's diagnosis. Cheers!
Hey there, sounds like a similar problem I had with my 2016 Dacia Sandero. I've some experience with cars, but I'm no mechanic. Took mine to a trusted workshop, turned out the throttle valve's internal mechanics were all messed up. Cost me 345€ to get it sorted out. It might be the same issue for you. May I ask, have you done any recent work on the engine or sensors? Is your Logan manual or automatic? This info could help me offer more insight. Keep us posted good luck!
