Hey! You're on the ball with that call for more info. I've clocked about 108466 KM on her. As for the fuel, I've been pretty religious about using premium diesel. My last service was almost a year ago; I know, I've been bad about it. Haven't had a diagnosis on the check engine light yet, planning to do that soon though. Cheers for the advice about the cable connections, I'll definitely look into that.
Hello! Good, this additional info helps a lot! Now, high mileage and extended time since your last service might have triggered these issues. Don't kick yourself about it, just remember, regular maintenance can make a world of difference! About your check engine light, take that seriously. Grab a simple OBD2 scanner (plugs into the diagnostics port), it will give you error codes that you can Google to understand better what's going wrong. Might save you some money at the mechanic! On the cable connections, still a shot in the dark, but totally worth checking. Make sure they're all in place and no corrosion, especially around the fuel system. Remember, my experience with the 2015 CX3 doesn't directly translate to your 2017 CX5, but overall, I feel like we're on the same page here. I hope I was of help and I'd love to hear how you get on with your ride. Hang in there!
'Sup! Hey, really appreciate all this advice. I've got an OBD2 scanner actually, will plug that in and see what's going on. Rust or corrosion with the cable connections could be a culprit, I'll make sure to check that too. It's always much better to go to the mechanic prepped with some possible solutions, right? Hey, thanks a ton for all your suggestions. Will give an update soonish on the situation. Fingers crossed it's nothing too serious. Cheers!
Hey there! Funny you mention this - I had a similar issue with my 2015 Mazda CX3 Diesel. I'm no mechanic but I do know my way around an engine, so to speak. Looked like a nasty case of defective cable connections. I took it to my local garage, just a small outfit but they're pretty good. They found the issue, fixed it in a couple of days, and only charged me 155 Euro. Sounds like your problem could be similar. Granted, our models are different but, they're not too far apart. So, to dig into this a bit more, could you share more details? Type of fuel? Mileage? Maintenance history? Have you had your check engine light diagnosed? The more info you provide, the better!
