Hey! Thanks for the swift reply and info, really appreciate it. My Logan's mileage stands at 43287 KM and the last general check-up was a couple of months ago. I've been noticing the issues more when I've been driving for a while, especially on higher speeds or during longer trips. I'll take your advice to heart and'll probably have a mechanic look into the injector. Fingers crossed it's the same problem.
Hey there again, Sounds like we’re on a pretty similar boat here! With your mileage and the symptoms, it does make sense that an injector could be the culprit, especially if your symptoms are most noticeable during longer trips and at higher speeds. When I took my Sandero in for the same issue, the guys in the workshop explained that a faulty injector can mess with your fuel-air mixture, thus potentially causing black smoke, poor economy, and a rough drive. But remember, it's just my hunch based on my experience, not certain. I don’t advise to straightaway dive into an injector replacement without diagnosing the actual issue first though. I’d say, take your Logan to a trusted mechanic, have them inspect and run some diagnostics, then go from there. I hope this helps! Let us know how it goes and make sure to keep us updated! Good luck with fixing your Logan – they’re great cars when they’re running right, wouldn’t trade my Sandero for the world!
Hey back, Yeah seems like we are really in the same boat! I appreciate your input and sharing your experience, it's comforting to know that I'm not alone in this. Your point about not changing the injector right away is very sensible, I wouldn't want to jump the gun and misdiagnose the issue. I've got a good mechanic who I trust and I'll head there first thing tomorrow to get an inspection and some diagnostics. Once I've got more information, I'll updated you folks. Finger's crossed it's not a big deal, and my Logan will be back on the road without any problems! Can't wait to have it running right again. Thanks again for all your help! I'll stay in touch.
Hey there, I had a similar issue a couple of years ago with my 2015 Dacia Sandero, which is essentially a hatchback version of your Logan. By no means am I a mechanic, but I have some experience, I enjoy learning about cars and doing minor maintenance myself. I noticed similar symptoms and it took a bit of trial and error, but I found out that the culprit was a defective injector. I took my ride to a trusted workshop. The team there did a fantastic job, they pinpointed the problem, replaced the defective injector and had it all fixed for €515.0. I can't remember all the technical stuff they told me, but after the work, my Sandero was running smoothly - no black smoke, no more jerky acceleration, and that exhaust smell was history. Now, in order to advise any further, could you give some more details about your car's situation? What's the car's mileage, for instance? When was the last time you did a general check-up? Does the car act up in any specific circumstances? These could help me (and everyone else here) understand the situation better. Looking forward to hearing more from you.
