Seeking Advice on 2015 VW Up Audio and Navigation System Failure

Audio system is not working

Navigationssystem is not working

Hey there, car people! I've got a bit of an issue with my 2015 VW Up petrol engine, clocking in around 58,145 KM. Recently, my navigation and audio systems have both gone blank on me. I'm suspecting it's due to some sort of audio system signal glitch, but I haven't the faintest idea on how to properly handle it. Last time I went to a mechanic, let's just say it didn't end well. Has anyone experienced something similar with their ride and any advice on dealing with a mechanic to sort these kind of issues out? Would appreciate any tips! Cheers, mates.

Hey there! I see where you're coming from, had a similar struggle with my 2012 VW Polo not too long ago. Thing is, my infotainment system decided to pull a disappearing act on me, too. I thought it might have been a software glitch, but it turns out there was a bit more to it. After a visit to my trusty local garage, they got to the bottom of it - wires. A bit silly, I know, but apparently, the wiring harness that connects my display to the car had worn out. Didn't expect this to be a serious issue, to be honest. Kinda disturbed me, as these electronics certainly give some cool vibes to the ride. As for advice, don't dwell on past experiences, not all garages are the same. Explain the problem, ask them to check the connectivity of all the systems first before diving into more complex stuff. They shouldn't have any problem fixing it up. Hope this helps you out! Let us know how it goes! Cheers!

Hey there! So let me get this straight - you traced your infotainment issues back to a worn-out wiring harness on your VW Polo? Quite an eye-opener – I wouldn’t have thought of wiring being the gremlin behind my VW Up's troubles. I appreciate your advice on working with garages. We all have our stories, don't we? I'll have my mechanic look into the wiring first, hoping it's just as straightforward as you made it sound. I'm curious though, if you don't mind me asking. How hard did this hit your wallet? And has there been anything else that has sprung up since getting this fixed? Always got an eye out for future surprises, you know. Thanks again for your help! Cheers!

Hey there! Ah, yes the all-too-familiar question about the cost. Well fixing my display damage wasn't exactly pocket change, ended up being 725.00 €. Gulp, I know! But hey, at least the tunes are back and I can see where I'm going! Since I saw my mechanic and got all those messed up wires sorted out, everything's been running smoothly. Particularly, I haven't had any more of those god-awful audio system signal errors. Fingers crossed it stays that way! So rest assured, you're on the right path having your mechanic check it out. Buckle up for the ride! You'll be cruising with your favorite beats back on before you know it. Cheers!

Hey there! Well, you really gave me some tough news about the cost. Just thinking about spending nearly 725.00 € makes my wallet shiver. But hey, what can we do, right? Cars are not just pieces of metal to us. They are more like our roaming houses, giving us the comfort we need. With fingers crossed, I'm heading to my mechanic. Yeah, you rightly said - buckle up, it's going to be a wild ride. Thank you so much for your advice and sharing your experience. Hopefully, my tunes will be back on soon and my navigation will stop playing hide and seek with me. I'll keep you all updated. Wish me luck. Cheers!

Good morning, I recently purchased a 2020 volkswagen Up. The radio display works without any problem, also the reverse sensor and its Beep, but no audio from the radio or bluethoot can be heard. What to do?

It sounds like your audio system might be muted or the volume is turned down. Check the volume settings on your infotainment system first. If that doesn't work, it could be a software issue. Try resetting your infotainment system to factory settings. If the problem persists, it might be a hardware issue, possibly with the speakers or wiring. In that case, it's best to have a mechanic or a Volkswagen service center check it out. Please let us know how it goes and if you have any other questions.
