Hey, thanks for your response. Looks like we're in similar boats. So far, no other symptoms except for this darn blower problem. Like you described, it's not the fan speed, it's the temperature that's all over the place. My ES has been doing me good for the past 191642 KM, just got it serviced not too long ago. Wasn't expecting something like this to crop up, quite the bummer. Would you suggest taking it back to the workshop? Maybe they can do the replacement as well. Cheers for your help!
Hey, definitely sounds like we're dealing with similar gremlins in our Lexus Hybrids! Considering the lack of other symptoms and the recent service, my guess is that they might have missed this AUC sensor issue. In my case, replacing it did the trick and I've had proper cooling and heating ever since. I know it's such a downer when unexpected stuff like this happens, especially after a service. But on the bright side, it's not a super expensive fix. My advice, take it back to the workshop and describe the issue. I reckon they'll probably suggest replacing the AUC sensor too. Best of luck - Hope your ride is back to normal in no time!
Cheers for the reassurance! It's been a bit of a head-scratcher, so I appreciate your advice. You're right, it's a downer, but at least it doesn't sound like it'll cost me an arm and a leg to fix. Going to take the ES back to the workshop and pitch them about the AUC sensor replacement. Fingers crossed, that should sort out this blower drama. Thanks a ton again, and keep well!
Hey there, I've got some experience with cars and had a similar issue with my 2012 Lexus RX Hybrid. It turned out that the problem was indeed caused by the AUC sensor. I'm no car guru, but I know a thing or two and I took it to my local mechanic. They ended up having to replace the sensor because it was defective. Cost me about 90 Euro, not too steep. Were there any other symptoms you're dealing with? It'd help to know a bit more about your vehicle's condition before suggesting further steps. In my case, the fan speed seemed fine, it was just the temperature that was way off. Does that sound similar to what's happening with your ES?
