Hey there, So, you had a similar issue, huh? Sounds like a bit of a menace. Interesting that it turned out to be a faulty parking aid sensor in your i30, makes me feel more assured about my hunch for my little i20. Here comes the million-dollar question though, got any idea how much you shelled out for that minor part replacement? Also, have you encountered any more unusual light shows or other issues since the fix? Looking forward to your response, and thanks for sharing your experience! Safe driving!
Hey! Glad my recent experience could help a bit. Yes, it was kind of bothersome but thankfully, it’s all sorted now. Since my good old mechanic worked his magic on that parking aid sensor, my Hyundai i30’s been behaving like a gentleman, absolutely no fuss or flashy light shows on the dashboard anymore. About the cost, if I remember correctly, it was pretty reasonable considering what I was expecting. Shelled out around 265€ to be exact. That fixed and silenced the faulty parking sensor. Dispute that problem, the car’s been running smooth. Best of luck with your i20. Make sure you're taking it to a trustworthy mechanic. Safe travels!
G'day! Very comforting to know that your experience worked out so well, gives me some hope for my i20! And even better that you haven't seen any return of those pesky dashboard light shows since. That's music to my ears. As for the cost, 265€ actually sounds pretty fair! Fingers crossed I can get a similar deal at my local garage. Thanks heaps for sharing these details it really helps me prepare. Will definitely be taking it to a reputable mechanic this time around. Don't wanna repeat the same mistake. Safe motoring back to you and your well-behaved i30! Cheers!
Hey! Faced a similar problem in my 2017 Hyundai i30 a while back. Started with the park distance control going off the rails, then the dreaded warning light popping up on the speedo. Turns out, it was indeed a faulty parking aid sensor. My at this garage I generally use ran a diagnostic and confirmed it. Needed a minor part replacement, nothing too serious though. After the fix, was as good as new with no extra lights on the dash. So, yeah, I reckon you're heading in the right direction with your hypothesis. Best take it to a decent mechanic though and get a proper diagnostic run. Best of luck!
