Seeking Advice on 2013 Fiat Doblo's Brake Light Issue and Mechanic Recommendations
Brake light not working
4 comment(s)
Hello there, reading about your experience with your Punto, it seems like I might be facing the same in my Doblo. Weird, how these electrical issues can cause such a fuss, huh? Anyway, that "failure signal" you mentioned rings a bell for my "implausible signal" warning. I'll check that brake light switch - makes sense given the history of my ride. Just out of curiosity, do you recall approximately how much that garage trip cost you for fixing the issue? Also, have you encountered any similar problems since that episode or was it a one-time thing? Thanks a bunch for your insights, much appreciated! Cheers.
Hey, you won't believe this, but since that little problem, my ride's been running smooth as ever. That was the one and only time the brake light caused an issue. Luckily, it turned out to be a personal error, so getting it fixed didn’t even cost me a dime! I reckon, have a good check on your end. It might just be a minor problem like mine. Just to be on the safe side, do get a mechanic to have a look at it. Who knows, it might save you a trip to the garage and a few bucks as well! Cheers and all the best with your Doblo!
Hey there, That's excellent to hear! Definitely gives me a little peace of mind. It's good to know yours was an isolated incident, hoping the same for mine. Assuming it's a minor personal error as you said, I'll give it a thorough check before dialing up my mechanic. Appreciate your feedback and the insight. It's always great to hear from other Fiat owners and how they tackle such situations. You've saved me a potential heartache here. Cheers and safe driving!
Hey there, I've got a 2010 Fiat Punto myself and had a similar issue a few years back. Turned out it was an electrical fault connected to the brake light. My light was constantly flickering, and then at one point, it just died off altogether. Along with that, I also got an odd warning, something about a "failure signal." I headed over to my garage and the guys got down to diagnosing the problem. They eventually tracked it down to a faulty brake light switch, something they said was pretty common in Fiat models with high mileage like ours. In my case, it was a bit serious because driving without a properly functioning brake light is dangerous - not to mention illegal in most places. I'd definitely recommend getting it checked out as soon as possible. Hope this helps! Cheers.
