G'day! Bloody appreciate your insight! The car was absolutely perfect since its last service at 26019 KM. No significant repairs or changes were done recently. The only thing I can think of is a standard oil change during that last service. The problem seemed to appear out of nowhere, you know? So, it feels a bit odd. Sounds like I need to have a good car mechanic to give it a thorough look as you did, especially if it could be something as tricky as the Defective Insertion Slot. Thanks again, fingers crossed I can get this sorted out soon! Cheers!

Hey, no worries, glad to help! Pretty odd it's started having problems with basically no warning. Cars can be weird like that, I swear. Let's hope it's not the dreaded Defective Insertion Slot, as it can be a bit of a bugger to fix. Anyway, since there were no significant changes or repairs to your Volvo before this all kicked in, my guess leans towards the Ignition Key Hall sensor or the Insertion Slot. Definitely get into a reputable workshop and gives it a thorough scan. Also, do remember, sometimes, even things like low battery voltage can make electrical components act bonkers. So when you are there, ask them to check the battery and charging system too. Keep us posted with how things go. Hoping for the best! Cheers!

Cheers for the proper advice! I reckon a thorough inspection is the way to go. I'll double-check the battery and charging system as well, then. Can't believe something as small as a low battery can cause such a kerfuffle. Will drop my Volvo off at the workshop soonish and we'll see what the issue is. Appreciate the support, I'll keep you all posted. Fingers crossed it ain't something too serious! Thanks again and take care!

Hey there! Quite a story with your '10 C30! I had a very similar experience with my 2008 Volvo V40 a little while back. I have some experience with cars, not an expert but I do know a bit about how they work. The issue I had was also a bit of a puzzler, turned out to be a Defective Insertion Slot as well. This caused problems with the ignition and ended up leaving me stranded more than once. I took it to my trusted workshop - excellent folks who know their stuff. A tricky job but they managed to repair it and that cost me about 290 Euro. Just to verify before jumping to conclusions, can you let me know about the recent repairs or changes that were made to the car? The more details I have, the better I might be able to shed some light on this problem. Cheers!
