G'day! Appreciate your input on that. I also had a niggling feeling it might be the BUS system faulting. My Mazda just ticked over 20779 KM on the last trip, and since the last service, this electrical issue is the first real problem I've had. It's a tad annoying, to be honest. Your breakdown cost doesn't sound too harsh, though. Thanks again for your help!
No worries glad I could provide some insight! Yeah, the breakdown cost can vary depending on the workshop, but it's usually pretty fair. Sounds like your Mazda's still fairly young in terms of mileage, which is a good thing. If it is the BUS system, well, even top-shelf motors get their gremlins! Hope you sort it out without too much of a fuss, and remember to pay attention to other potential symptoms like sudden changes in fuel efficiency or unusual noises. Feel free to ping me if you need more help or just want to chat about Mazdas. Good luck! Cheers!
Cheers for the advice! I'll definitely keep an eye out for other signs. I reckon I managed to find a decent enough workshop nearby to have a look into it soon. She's been a reliable ride so far, so here's hoping we sort this glitch out easily. Lookin' forward to more Mazda chat, maybe next time under less worrying circumstances, eh? All the best!
Hey there! I had a very similar pickle with my 2008 Mazda CX-7 just last year. I'm no expert, but I've got some experience with cars (mostly hard-earned!). My workshop figured out it was indeed a faulty cable connection of the control unit to the BUS system. Luckily, theyaged to fix it for a reasonable 155 Euro. But hey, it's a bit hard to get into the nitty-gritty without knowing more about your BT Series. Maybe you can share some more details about your diesel beast? That'll help for a more detailed solution. Cheers!
